Now the question is.... do I hope someone gets me a set from the event... or do I go down the dodgy route and guarantee them?

I'm in the same boat, KG. I think guarantee wins out on these though. If for some reason you then obtain a 2nd set through other means you can sell it and try to recover money - or just have two sets.
