Ameblo.jp have updated their website with some new images of the Sentinel transforming Optimus Prime pen, or the "Convoy Pen" to give use it's official name. The working pen will go on sale in September of this year for 3,980 yen and will be available in three colour schemes. The first is a traditional red and blue Convoy / Optimus Prime theme, the second is a Decepticon Black recolour and the third is a white Ultra Magnus recolour. The images, which can be seen below, appear to have been coloured on a computer so the final products may vary.

The June issue of Figure King Magazine is now out in Japan and features some of the upcoming Transformers products including the Bearbrick cross over Optimus Prime, Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, Masterpiece Streak from the Tokyo Toy Show as weell ass thhe Artstorm products.  Check out the images below.

Thanks to the Transformers Columbia Facebook page for another new product reveal, this time in the form of Platinium Edition Silver Knight Optimus Prime, which isi a recolour of the First Edition Optimus Prime leader class mold that was available through Amazon.com.

Our thanks go out to Burton Munday, National Account Manager for Paladone Products Ltd for letting us know that they are distributing the Transformers 30th Anniversary Collectibles here within the UK.  The products, which can be seen below, will be available from Game, Next, Forbidden Planet as well as Amazon UK.  The figures consist of a combination of Generation One, Movie-verse and Transformers Prime themed characters. Each one comes with a trading card that, when reversed, forms part of a "3D Puzzle Piece". 

Series one of the figures are already available at Amazon and Forbidden Planet with Game and Next set to stock the blind packs within the next couple of weeks. Series Two in the line is due for release in October.

Below you will find a copy of the official Paladone description of the series.

"Paladone will be launching a 30th Anniversary Collection of Transformers Figurines in 2014. The collection will be released in two series comprising fifteen different figurines in each. Collectors will need to buy or swap every figurine from each series to build up the entire collection.

Series 1 of the Transformers Collectables will be available from March 2014. The series is available in foil packs, single packs or five packs. Series 2 will be available in October 2014.

There are three styles of figurine: Generation 1, Prime and Movie. The foil packs and single packs come in mixed CDUs of all three styles. The five packs are available in each style. Each series contains five figruines of each style.

A 30^th anniversary logo will be applied to each figure and each pack will contain a fold out checklist of all 30 figures to help collectors keep track. Each pack also contains a matching collector’s card with details on the character and which forms part of a 3D puzzle on the reverse."

TFW2005 Board member jru42287 has learned of some interesting new entries in the Toys R Us computer system within the US and has taken some photos for TFW2005.

"The first of these entries, with a retail value listed of $129.99, is a "Transformers MV4 Optimus Trailer Platinum Edition" which by the sounds of it is a Platinum Edition version of Age of Extinction Optimus Prime complete with trailer. An image is shown with the listing, showing a more detailed truck mode than we have seen so far with a Generation 1 inspired trailer, although the image might be a placeholder.

Second is another Platinum Series set, titled "Breakout Scene". This set curiously has a Generations Skids pictured with it in spite of being explicitly labelled as "TRA MV4", or Transformers Movie 4. The Skids is colored to look like the Sonic rally car, though may be a placeholder since he's a non-movie toy. The set is listed as $59.99 which implies there may be more to it than just this one Deluxe - although we may never know, since it is in "D" status, suggesting the set has been discontinued. This may mean it is not happening, or just that it is not yet fully confirmed.

Lastly there are two more sets of listings, one set for Transformers Age of Extinction Leaders and one set for Transformers Generations Leader class toys. Both sets of listings feature three toys listed - which in both cases covers the two known Leaders (Grimlock and Optimus Prime for Age of Extinction, Megatron and Jetfire for Generations). There's no information on who the third Leader for either line is, though, but rumors are that the third Age of Extinction Leader may be a reworked Dark of the Moon Leader Bumblebee."

According to a report by TFW2005 Board Member Icesparkas listing for Masterpiece Sunstorm has turned up in the US Toys R Us inventory systme with a code of 311207 and the name "TRA Sunstorm Masterpiece".  The entry is priced at $74.99, the same as Acid Storm, though no release date has been mentioned.

TagHobby have posted a new listing for an Optimus Prime Premium Edition figure from the fourth live action Transformers Movie, Transformers Age of Extinction (or as it will be called within Japan; Transformers: Lost Age).  The figure is priced at 7500yen or $72 (£44).  A placeholder image is used for the figure who is described as being of "luxurious specification"

These are of course prototype shots, colors and details may change when it goes to production. But you get the idea... it's dead sexy.

e-Hobby have updated their website with more information on their Transformers Cloud partnership with TakaraTomy Mall as they announce a new "Guardians of Time" fiction that will become the new banner underwhich the Generations figures are released.

The first two toys within the line will be redcos of previous figures, first up Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime is a recolour of the Classics / Henkei Optmius Prime wihlst Cloud Megatron is a recolour of the GDO Megatron figure in Generation One colours.

The figure will be released with one (Optimus Prime) available from the TakaraTomy Mall (their online store) whilst the Megatron will be an e-Hobby exclusive.  Both figures retail at 5940yen with more information due later today.

eHobby have sent out an e-mail announcing a new partnership with TakaraTomy mall and the launch of a new Transformers project called "Transformers Cloud". More information will be available on the 15th of November so until then start speculating on what this could be.

Transformersasia released a picture of the upcoming Asia Exclusive THS-02B Black Convoy. The figure is different from the original e-Hobby exclusive in as much as this new version has a blue windshield rather than red, uses gold chrome accents rather than silver and has blue eyes.  The toy is due for release very shortly on the 8th November 2013 though there is no word whether he will come with the parts to change the reissue of the standard figure into the Generation 2 version or not.
