Robotkingdom have posted a collection of in-package images of Transformers Generations Voyager Sandstorm figure who is a retooled and repainted version of the previously released Voyager Springer toy. The images, wich can be viewed below, also show his bio which is as follows:
SANDSTORM lives for action. His only real fear is a fear of boredom. As a result, he takes unnecessary risks, both in combat and out - risks that can sometimes threaten the success of his missions. He lives fast, loud, and dangerously - traits that make him fun to hang out with most of the time. But his fellow AUTOBOTS are getting a little sick of his habit of giving away his position to the DECEPTICONS just so he has the opportunity to enjoy a fight.
TFC Toys have announced that they will be producing an upgrade set for their Uranos figure. Our thanks go to Pete Brown for letting us know that he spoke with the manager of Toys R Us Poole here within the UK earlier today, enquiring about the Transformers Fall of Cybertron Generations Voyager Class figures and to his surprise, the manager checked the computer and found that there were Voyager class figures from the Generations line being released within the UK as Toys R Us exclusives!! The second piece of information that he was given, was that the figures have a shelf date of February 2013, as in 3 months ago! Pete was told that the manager believes the figures have "just been held up" but Toys R Us do not know whether they are the FoC figures (which is most likely the case) or whether they are the Asian exclusives.
Pete has promised to update us if he hears more, so we will keep you all updated on this story.
With his recently re-issue in Japan, you have probably come across all of the photographs on various social media channels of smiling faces with their re-issue Fortress Maximus'. Are you feeling left out but do not have over £300 to spend on the figure? Well help is at hand thanks to some overseas eBay sellers.
Seller Animetroplis has placed a figure up for sale for £249.99 with £29.99 postage and packing, so a grand total of £279.98 which is available through their eBay store ANIMETROPOLIS.
Not to be outdone however is crosszgundam who has a Fortess Maximus figure up at £184.98 with a postage charge of £75, bringing the total price to a reasonable £259.98.
Another cheaper listing comes thanks to toyercity who has the toy up for $409 which works out at around £267.41 with free shipping.
Hasbro's official images of Acid Storm and Soundwave have now been released. Acid Storm is a bright green and black redeco of the second Starscream mould, whilst the US Soundwave comes with all five of his Masterpiece Cassettes, Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, Ravage, Rumble and Frenzy.
The Hong Kong Toy fair has now finished and whilst Hasbro were reportedly not at the event, there were some Transformers licensed products on display. One of these products were licensed replica polyresin (ABS) statues of Transformers Movie Optimus Prime and Bumblebee along with a prop-replica of the Allspark from FMC. Atamaii TV Blog were in attendance with their reporter Stu Carter recording a video introduction by FMC representative Mike.
The statues are Asian exclusives, are articulated and come with interchangable accessories. Mike explains in the video that the Bumblebee figure is to scale with the Optimus Prime statue which is why he is smaller with Prime standing at 20" tall and Bumblebee who is 14" tall.
The figures are on the expensive side with Optimus Prime retailing at $1,699 (that is USD not HKD) with Bumblebee being $1,399.
The Allspark cube is made to scale for the film and costs $299.
The first run of both the Optimus Prime and the Bumblebee statues have now sold out within Asia with FMC looking to produce a second run. You can view a video below.
This is just a quick reminder to UK Transformers fans that the new Argos catalogue will be out tomorrow. Stores already have the catalogue in but they are not unpacking them until tomorrow morning (at least they shouldn't). If your local branch does put them out early, let us know what Transformers listings have been added.
Amazon UK have now cancelled ALL orders for the Masterpiece Optimus Prime figure stating that mispricing as the reason. A new listing has not yet been added and is not expected, so it turns out that the UK will once again have to continue to play the wait-and-see game as to whether Toys R Us UK actually put the figure out on the shelves.
In a strange turn of events the delayed UK release of Masrterpiece Optimus Prime (the MP-10 version) who was going to be released as a Toys R Us exclusive is now looking like he will be released on Amazon.co.uk for an amazing price of just £35!! The listing for Masrterpiece Optimus Prime cab be found by clicking the link. Below you will find the product description for the figure.
