Our "Trademark Bots" have been at it again and have found not one but two new trademark applications filed by Hasbro Inc with the USPTO both for the mark "CYBERTRON CON". Cybertron Con is the name of the officially licensed Chinese / Asian Transformers convention which has taken place since 2010. Is this simple Hasbro protecting against any third party organisations from registering Cybertron Con within the US for conventions or is it an indication that Hasbro may bring their official Asian show to the US, in which case what does this mean for Fun Publications and Botcon?
The 2nd of the pair is an application within the toys category most likely again to protect the names usage with transforming figures.

The mark has also been filed with the European Patent office under English for the primary language and French for a secondary language. The mark has also been filed with the UK trademark office and so I suspect it has also be filed with other trademark offices around the world
