The latest issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine has been released a day early as the 1st November falls on a Sunday. Most of the contents are the same as the last few months, Bazooka Optimus Prime, EZ Collection, Disney Label Donald Duck and the Cassette Volume 3 pack. What interested is the cassette volume 3 pack is listd as being delayed due to problems with the metal mold that needed to be replaced.
Device Label Broadcast (Blaster) has now been renamed as Broadblast! No reason is given for the name change and but it appears that the release of the toy has now slipped again to 2010. Originally the figure was suppose to have been released in September 2009.
Credit to Snakas for the news.

Earlier this year we started what we called our "Lucky Draw Research Project". This mini-project involved us trying to track down any and all hard evidence relating to the Takara Japanese Exclusive campaign prize draw Transformers figures known as Lucky Draw toys.
The project, which we had technically started several years ago with online research, involved us spending quiet a bit of time and an awful lot of money to buy back issues of various Japanese toy , TV and collectors magazines. There were a few issues to get over with the research.
- Language barrier - though our Japanese is far better than it used to be thanks to some lessons a few years ago
- Lack of online information, other than on the Lucky Draw Transformers website
- Age - the magazines we were after date back to 1997, with some issues required from 1987/1988.
- Range of magazines - the magazines, which are released monthly included TV Boy, TV Magazine, Hyper Hobby Magazine and Comic BonBon (that's over 10 years worth of 4 magazines, at 12 magazines a year), which works out at 480 magazines.
Anyway we bought over 150 magazines over a month and had them shipped into the UK (which was a whole new story) where we had to sort through them, document the information and then scan each of the magazines for evidence. We decided to scan any and every page which featured Transformers on them, as well as a few other series which we liked such as Microman.
Anyway the first batch of updates are now available on Transformers At The Moon in our In The Media section. The new galleries include Lucky Draw Transformers toys, Transformers protype and testshot toys, a Beast Wars II manga and much more. The Issues also include the Hyper Hobby magazine which featured the Black Rodimus Convoy toy currently on eBay:-

This isn't really news, though will related to some in the future, but we have 5 new auctions on ebay at the moment to try and recover some of the money we spent researching Lucky Draw Transformers figures this year (costing us over $1000).
We've decided to sell the Japanese Magazines which we bought from Japan, breaking them down into five categories. The auctions on ebay are for the following:

Snakas has updated his blog with some information from the latest issue of the Japanese hobby magazine Figure King (フィギャア王) which is issue125.
The issue contain articles on the Japanese release of the Marvel Crossover series as sell as images Henkei Prowl and Sunstreaker, though it was the US versions that were used in the photographs. The Japanese version of Classics Ramjet (Henkei Ramjet) and Classics Skyfire were also shown. If that was not enough, the issue contains a the "Metroplex Story" which contained the history of the figure from a dialcone concept art, through the original G1 release and onto the Encore reissue.
An article was also published on the Transformers Alternity line with a silhouette of the Convoy figure being shown along with the words "Next Transformer Coming Soon". The line is described by the author as a series that will succeed the concept of Binaltech.
Finally images are shown of the packaging of Encore Skywarp and Thundercracker which are released in June

Snakas has posted a report on the contents of this months Dengeki Hobby Magazine. Here is a basic summary.
Transformers Movie Battle Damaged Optimus Prime was shown. The information on the figure was the same as this months Figure King, but the photograph was larger.
The Transformers Binaltech BT-19 and BT-20 figures were featured in an article.
On the Henkei front, the Japanese Hot Rodimus figure was shown as were the western releases of Jetfire and Ramjet. Snakas notes that Figure King has much more information on the figures.
Encore Omega Supreme and the Mini-bot set were featured with the same information as Figure King.
A "correction article" was published on the downsizing of Transformers in Japan which also covered the revival of the Binaltech line. Snakas publishes a quote from the article which talks about quality over quantity, and how the line (Transformers) is now becoming more popular again.
Finally there is an article discussing the relationship / connection between Zoids and Transformers. The article talks about how in trying to get everything ready for the Transformers Movie in 2007, the developement of Zoids was put on the backfoot.

Fan to Fan have
images from various Japanese toy magazines showing off the Transformers Movie toys. Unfortunatley they appear to be having a few issues with their server at the moment.
The most interesting images are those of the Protoform Optimus Prime and Starscream toys, which are the same colour as those released in the West. This is different from the preview images shown on the e-Hobby shop website, which shows the toys in the more metallic silver colours.
