Michael Bay's blog have been updated with the VFX reel for Transformers 3 that will be shown at the Oscars on the 26th Feb.  You can view the video below.

Nelson, the administrator over on Michael Bay's Shoot for the Edit website, has posted some new information on the upcoming Transformers: Dark of the Moon 3D Blu-Ray Edition as well as revealing the initial details of a 7-disc blu-ray box set that will contain all three of the live action films.

The details he announced regarding the 3D Blu-Ray edition of Transformers: Dark of the Moon was that it will be a four-disc set, released on the 31st January 2012 with the disc breakdown being:

Disc 1 - Transformers: DOTM Blu-ray feature film
Disc 2 - Behind the Scenes (the extra that have been missing for every release so far)
Disc 3 - Transformers: DOTM 3D Blu-ray edition
Disc 4 - Transformers: DOTM DVD / Digital Copy

With regards to the 7-disc set, Nelson just gave the release date as Jan 31st, said it would contain all three films (Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Transformers: Dark of the Moon) and that he will be announcing further details on Boxing day, so December 26th 2011.

Nelson, Michael Bay's Shoot For The Edit administrator, has posted some details on the ShootForTheEdit­ forums regarding the Transformers film trilogy set called "the Signature Edition".

A little update on the Signature Edition Transformers set:

• There will only be 5,000 made.
• They will be autographed by Bay.
• Will be sold on Amazon.com and another US retailer.
• They will contain the 3 TF Blu-ray movies + behind the scenes stuff.
• It will be out in December.

Hollywood Reporter are reporting that Hasbro have opened discussions with Paramount Pictures, Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay about making a fouth live action Transformers Movie.

"­­CEO Brian Goldner says the toy giant continues to have a slew of films in development, but won't make their own films like Marvel.

NEW YORK - Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner said Monday that the toy giant is in active discussions with studio partner Paramount, director Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg about a potential fourth Transformers movie, adding he hopes to have news to share in the next quarter.

Speaking on his company's third-quarter earnings conference call, he also said that Hasbro continues to develop entertainment projects based on its brands - despite some delays and challenges. "We continue to actively develop a number of additional Hasbro films with great partners and writers, including Micronauts, Ouija, Candyland, Risk, Stretch Armstrong, Clue and Monopoly," he said."

Tonight its London's night to host the Transformers: Dark of the Moon road show.  Yesits VIP screening night and both Michael Bay and Britain's own Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be in attendance.  The event will, of course, be covered by the press and so expect images from the event to start surfacing on national news websites from tonight.

UK Tabloid newspaper, ­­The Mirror, is reporting that Megan Fox was fired from the cast of Transformers at a direct request by Producer Steven Spielberg.  According to the paper, Mr Spielberg "was outraged after she compared Michael Bay to Hitler during a press interview".  The story is based from a comment that Director Michael Bay said in passing at the premier of Transformers: Dark of the Moon where he is quoted as having said “You know the Hitler thing? Steven said: ‘Fire her right now.’”.  Mr Bay has previously stated that he was not hurt by the comments, with Megan reporting that she left the third in the series to pursue other opportunities.

Michael Bay's Twitter account for ShootForTheEdit.com has been updated with tweets announcing that Transformers: Dark of the Moon is now done.  With the film now complete, reels will be sent out for press, FDA and other special screenings around the world before the film is released globally starting 29th June.
