After several hours of waiting BotCon have released images of Shattered Glass Soundwave, complete with Cobra Dreadknock Zartan's face painted on the side. Zartan is representing the Cobra rock band Cold Slither.
Fun Publications have also announced that there will be a headband accessory available from the club store, and that it will not be fabric. They also confirm that they have modified the neck joint so that Shattered Glass Soundwave will be able to look forward, rather than always looking down as Classics Ironhide did.
BotCon have updated their website with the brochure for BotCon 2012. The brochure announces that the theme is once again Shattered Glass, only this year the Shattered Glass universe enters the Classic Universe.
The first six toys have been announced as
Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus (Classic Laser Prime mold)
Shattered Glass Soundwave (what appears to be Classic Ironhide mold)
Shattered Treadshot (hopefully based on the Action Master, if so a Megatron repaint)
Shattered Glass Tracks (Red version of Classics Tracks most likely)
Classics "Overlord" Gigatron (if this is meant to be Overlord, then probably a Straxus repaint)
Clasics Metal Hawk (probably a Thunderwing repaint)
Jim Sorenson updated his blog on Tuesday with a new Ark Addendum entitled Ratbat's Transform. As you can probably guess from the title, the article focuses on the transformation sequence for the Generation One Decepticon cassette Ratbat.
Here's an update from Jim, "this week I finish up my cassette transformations. I give you...
Ratbat! It's a simple transformation. He basically unfolds, much like
the toy. The big difference is that his weapons pop out of his back,
instead of being attached manually. And one final reminder: we've got a book signing for The AllSpark Almanac Addendum this Saturday at Emerald Knights Comics & Games in Burbank. 1:00 PM on December 10th.4116 W. Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505"

Toy-Hobby-World have posted three scans from the latest issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine. The scans have another look at the next Japanese Luck Draw figure, Sentinel Prime, as well as showing some new images of the upcoming DA-28 Striker Optimus Prime and Human Alliance Soundwave toy. Check out the mirrored scans below.
eBsy seller foo has posted another auction for an unreleased Transformers Animated Electrostatic Soundwave on eBay. This is the same seller who recently sold another one.
FantoFan.jp
have updated their website with some new images of upcoming TakaraTomy
Transformers: Darkside Moon toys. The
images include DA3-4 Leadfoot, DA-28 Striker Optimus Prime, DA-31 Autobot Que,
DD-09 Soundwave and Mr.Cruel, DD-13 Soundwave, and CV-26 Soundwave.
The images are in a very low resolutions but can be foudn on their early bird page.
ACToys.net board member diy?? has posted images of an upcoming FansToys Soundwave figure. The toy, which is 100% unofficial, is based on the Generation One cartoon Soundwave. Seven images have been published which can be viewed below.
FullMetalHero.com are reporting that three Transformers Dark of the Moon Soundwave figures will be released including a Human Alliance version with Laserbeak. The listings, that have come direct from TakaraTomy to KapowToys who run FMH.
In another solicitation from TomyTakara, FullMetalHero confirm that the Japanese release of DA-30 Human Alliance
Leadfoot and Steeljaw, out October 1st 2011, will NOT have the Target Logo which is on the US versions and is a Target exclusive. This difference in paint apps means that the toys may see a release within the UK outside of Tesco's who often stock Target exclusive figures. The solicitation listed the figure as DA30 Sponsored Vehicle #3 W/Animal (Clean).
Former MB and Hasbro employee Andy Couzens has placed some more pre-production Transformers items for sale on eBay. His current auctions are for a pre-production Freeway and an Action Master Soundwave EP.
The Freeway is an EP for the European Classics release of the figure which was remoulded to have the indent removed where the rub-sign use to be. On the final release of the figure, which you can view within our toy gallery section of the website, you will notice that an Autobot sticker was put in place of the early rub-sign.
Hasbro update updated Transformers.com with their Vector Sigma database. This Flash area contains information on the timeline, characters and glossary from Transformers Dark of the Moon including some small images and details on the alt modes For example it reveals that Soundwave will be a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
Hasbro have also sent out a massive of new stock images for the toys, so whilst I collate everything they have sent together with what is on the website you may want to go search yourself
As part of our recent "rare toy" image gallery updates which have included Bumblebee Silver Version and Megatron Gold Version we thought it was time to turn back the block and bring you another image gallery update of one of our rarer figures from the 1990s. Generation 2 LazerCycle Soundwave. For those that don't know, Soundwave was due to be released as a recoloured LazerCycles Road pig along side Lazer Cycle Jazz but the G2 toyline was cancelled. No one is quite sure how many of these toys were produced, originally it was rumoured that there was only 15 of them, but that has since been disproved and it is generally considered that since carded versions were produced that a reasonable production run was actually made. That being said, these figures are still pretty difficult to track down, perhaps as they are not as sort-after as the Stunticons and Protectobots who are arguably the most sort after of the unreleased Generation Two items.
I have updated our toy gallery of Generations Soundwave with another 30 images for your viewing pleasure as well as adding a new gallery of Generations Thunderwing which contains 32 images.
YouTubermasainjapan2008 has posted a rip of the DVD that comes with the current issue of TV Boy (the Feb 2011 issue) on YouTube. You can view the video using the embedded link below.
eBay seller Lee's Toy Review has posted three auctions for some unreleased Generation 2 figures, two of which we already own and have photo galleries of. The auctions are for the Blue Combat Hero Optimus Prime, the Camouflage Combat Hero Megatron and the Soundwave Ninja Cycle. You can view the auctions for Prime, Megatron and Soundwave by following these links.
