Here is a round-up of some of links to some of the important panels and good image galleries from SDCC
TFW2005.com have posted some detailed images of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon Human Alliance Soundwave toy that you can find here.
TFW2005.com also have an image gallery of the red recolour of Dark of the Moon Ironhide. You can find it here.
The Allspark have a great summary of the panel Shout!/Hasbro - "Evolution of Transformers Animation" Panel Report in which it was confirmed that the Brestforce will be renamed Chestforce on the US subtitle track for Victory as they could not get away with using Brestforce. You can read the summary here.
TFW2005.com message board member and2ng ha reported that Transformers: Dark of the Moon Space Case is now for sale within Singapore. The figure, who is a homage to the Generation 2 Space Casefigure, was released along with the launch of the 3rd live action Transformers film.
According to TFW2005.com message board member Airfox, the release of the third live action Transformers movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, has been suspended until further notice. Airfox points out that, until very recently, promotion for the release of the film was ticking along nicely, however that all stopped a couple of days ago when the film was removed from cinema listings. He has roughly translated an article from local Venezuela newspaper Ultimas Noticias which states "During the last 2 days, ads related to the premiere of Transformers 3
have been dropped from the web pages of Cines Unidos and Cinex. Cinex's
spokepersons on Twitter posted a comment stating that the movie has been
"Suspended until further notice."
However, this announcement hasn't met the fans demands for information.
Does anyone know the real reason why the movie's premiere was
"suspended/canceled"? Fans are clamoring for answers.
There have been many rumors regarding the suspension, some think - and
this is the hypothesis with the most mentions - that the movie has a
plot that includes our country.
"
As those of you who have seen the film know, there is no direct relationship between the plot or any character to Venezuela, so it will be interesting to see if the film becomes banned and is never released, or whether it just slips back.
Masabon has reported to TFW2005.com that Transformers: Darkside Moon, the Japanese name for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Vortex has now been released in Japan at the International Tokyo Toy Show. The toy is a remold of the Tomahawk figure with the following profile
Vortex
is the aerial soldier of Decepticon. As he has ruthless and brutal
nature, he ultimate pleasure is to chop up the Autobot he captures.
You can view some images of this figure at TFW2005.com
TFW2005.com board member apcomkai has posted images of some posters that advertise Transformers: Dark of the Moon using the Wreckers Roadbuster, Leadfoot and Topspin.
TFW2005.com board member Destro has posted a review and a couple of images on the TFW2005 message boards regarding the Kre-O Starscream set. The good news is that Destro reports that the quality of the parts is high and that it has a similar feel to lego, the bad news is that, as our images from Botcon highlight, whilst the vehicle modes look pretty cool, the robot mode for some of the figures is pretty poor, as is the case with Starscream. The mini Kreon figures do look pretty cool though and will probably be the main reason most people pick up the sets.
You can read the review here.
Reports are coming in from members of the TFW2005.com boards that the leader class Transformers: Dark of the Moon figures have been released 3 weeks early at some Target stores across the US. There have been confirmed sightings of both Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime thus far. You can see the original report, and images, here.
For those not in the US wanting the toys early, just keep an eye on ebay to see what toys are on the 2nd hand market
ACToys.net member Stryker has posted some comments that TFW2005 have roughly translated as
"Like Transformers: Prime series? Start saving (Images not shown)
[Transformers: Prime Toys] To come earlier than expected.
No images. Details only. Reliable source. In development. Five small new Autobots."
This follows on from some rumours of deluxe Transformers Prime figures being spotted.
TFW2005.com member kjeevahh has posted some scans of another one of the Ron Friedman auctions. This time the auction was was the early synopsis for Transformers: The Movie which includes character outlines and a description of the 25 scenes that Ron originally invisioned.
The contents are quite different from the final movie and are slightly different to the draft script that Jim Sorenson published a few weeks ago.
TFW2005.com board member Beastbox X has posted a sighting or the Transformers Stealth Force Motorcycle Assortment in a Wal-Mart store within Athens, Ohio priced at just under $7 each. The toys are packed four to a case, with an even split of Knock Out and High Wire figures. You can view a mirrored image below.
