Its time to bring you details of how the Transformers brand performed in January of 2008.
First up, Transformers was 4th in the properties chart for the month behind Bratz, Barbie and Thomas & Friends.
In the retail charts, the strong sales continued both in terms of units sold as well as monetary sales. The best selling action figures of 2007, the Transformers Movie Legends, were 2nd in terms of £ sales, 3rd in terms of units sold. The Movie deluxe figures were 4th in terms of £ sales and 8th in terms of units sold and the Classic Mini-con 3 pack was 6th in terms of unit sales. In the retailers charts, Transformers continues to perform well at The Entertainer, with Dropkick being the 4th best selling toy in by the 4th Feb 2008. Beatmix Bumblebee just makes the top 10 at number 10.

A new image has appeared of the custom upgrade kit being made by the folks from TF-Labs for the Transformers Classics Ultra Magnus figure. The kit is a trailer for the toy that changes into the Generation One style robot armour.

Woolworths are offering a 25% discount on ALL Transformers Movie figures at the moment including the new Allspark toys. As I-Primus pointed out, that's £8.24 for deluxe.

As you know we like to keep you up-to-date with the NPD sales figures so you can see how Transformers is fairing compared to other toy lines. Well we can now bring you information on just how Transformers performed in Week 51 of 2007. That's the week before Christmas.
In terms of Monetary Sales, the Transformers Movie Deluxe toys was the 6th best selling toy that week and the best selling action figure.
In terms of actual units sold, however, the Transformers Movie legends tops the Action Figure chart and was number 3 on the overall toy sales chart behine only the Hot Wheels Car Assortment and the Cars Assortment. It fended off Doctor Who into 5th position. The Transformers Movie deluxe toys were 8th, one higher than Ben 10.

TFW2005 poster, Darth Convoy, has once again posted details of more toys being made in China for the Botcon 2008 convention later in the year. The new figures are.
1. Energon Megatron repainted silver and black with blue wings and a new head.
2. Classics Rodimus painted black with a beard.
The figures will be bundled together (like the Alphatrion / Weridwolf set) along with a Minicon

Its official, Transformers was the best selling Action Figure line in the UK for 2007!! Yes you read that right, despite only being on sale for half of the year, the Transformers Movie Legends series beat its main rival, Dr Who and Power Rangers to claim the number 1 spot based on units sold. Overall, 2007 was a great year for UK sales of Transformers, proving that the line can still be a success on this shores. In December both the Movie Legends and the Deluxe Assortment stayed in the Top ten chars on both monetary value and units sold. What also happened, and this may come as a little surprise, the Transformers Classics Mini-con Three pack sold the 10th highest number of units in 2007 of any toys! Yes Transformers appear in the Unit sales chart three times, at number 3, 8 and 10.
Below you will find the NPD charts for both December 2007 as well the Year-To-Date figures for 2007. What also should be noted is that in the Retail Store charts Transformers Beatmix Bumblebee was also the 2nd best selling toy in The Entertainer stores in December 2007.

According to the toy booklet that comes with Transformers Movie Leader Class Desert Brawl, the Transformers Animated toys, will be released in the United States in June of 2008.
