Two more LA-based guests announced for Roll Out / Roll Call 2012!
We're 16 weeks away from Europe's largest combined G.I-Joe / Action Force and Transformers show Roll Out / Roll Call 2012 and it is with great pleasure that Transformers At The Moon can exclusively reveal the names of two more guests for the show.
The pair are long time fans of both Transformers and G.I-Joe / Action Force and will be making only their second appearance at a European Convention. They are well known within the fan communities of both franchises as well as generally being two of the nicest and most interesting people you could meet. Have you guest who they are yet?
That's right, the guests are none other than Jim Sorenson andd Bill Forster, writers of the both the Allspark Almanac books, the Ark Books (all three of them) and most recently Allspark Almanac Addendum (published within issue 6 of the Timelines comic that re-printed The Stunti-con Job). Jim and Bill will be on hand all weekend to meet, great, sign, and generally hang out with fans of both shows as well as taking to the stage over the weekend to give a presentation and take question on both Transformers and G.I-Joe.
Jim and Bill were extremely popular guests when we bought them over for Auto Assembly 2010 and we have been keen on bringing them back to the UK for another show. At the same time they are both as keen, if not more so, to come back to the UK and meet up with everyone again and so brings us all great pleasure to have them back on these shores for a show that covers not just Transformers but also G.I-Joe, a series that both these men care about.
So if you were unsure whether to attend Roll Out Roll Call 2012 in Southampton next March, then I hope that this announcement will convince you to attend the event and support it.
Roll Out / Roll Call 2012 is the UK Fan Show Convention dedicated to Transformers, Action Force & GI Joe which will be taking place over the weekend of the 10th-11th March 2012 at Southampton's largest hotel, Jurys Inn overlooking East Park. It will be the third show for the event and is organised primarily by Dave Tree of All The Cool Stuff. Everyone helping out organise and promote the event is very proud to welcome some very special guests from the world of Transformers, Action Force & GI-Joe including Larry Hama (1st UK show), Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, Robert Atkins (1st UK show), Jon Goode (1st UK show), Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster. There are still at least three special guests to be announced, so stay tuned to the websites at the bottom of this announcement for all the latest news.RollOut Roll Call 2012

TFW2005.com member Bignick1693 has posted a photograph of the Diamond reprint of the Botcon 2011 Stunti-con Job comic book that comes with a teaser for Botcon 2012. The image, which is mirrored below features an image of Reveal The Shield Optimus Prime and the following tag line:
An enemy thought defeated
A power thought to be legend
At Botcon 2012, Earth's survival rests
in the hands of just one robot...
There were a lot of discussions about this after the Auto Assembly 2011 to see what we could do to get the 3rd Party toys back at Auto Assembly. Well here's the official word.
For the last few years we have had an official policy here at Auto Assembly regarding the sale of unofficial and third party products at the convention. We know that many of our dealers do stock a wide range of third party produced toys and toy upgrades, and a growing number of fans do collect these alternatives to Hasbro and Takara Tomy produced products so there is a genuine demand for them at Auto Assembly.
Since Auto Assembly 2011, we have been looking at this carefully and we are going to be revising this policy extensively for Auto Assembly 2012 and we hope to be announcing details this week of a new policy which we believe will be much fairer to dealers and attendees alike, ensuring that a much wider range of third party products will be on sale at Auto Assembly 2012. There will still be some products that will be on our “banned” list which are in direct breach of Hasbro or Takara Tomy’s trademarks / copyrights, but we are convinced that everyone will be happy with what we will be announcing!
Don’t forget, Dealer Table bookings are open now for Auto Assembly 2012 and with table prices at our lowest rate for years and with cheaper hotel rates than ever before, there’s never been a better time to come along and trade at Auto Assembly!
Are you in the UK? Are you attending Auto Assembly 2011? That's right, Auto Assembly 2011 kicks officially kicks off today in Birmingham and if you haven't already purchased your ticket(s) to the event do not worry, you can buy them on the door tomorrow.
With over a dozen guests ranging from voice actors to cartoon episode writers, comics writers and comic artist there will be someone there for you. The event will also have plenty of dealers so you can pick up some Transformers figures form which ever line(s) interest you and hang out with fellow fans of the Transformers line.
If you do attend, don't forget to drop by the toy display where Transformers At The Moon will be running a display this year based around the Japanese Beast Wars figures.
Auto Assembly 2011 is doing something brand new this year and giving fans the chance to be the stars of online videos seen all over the world just by talking about your interest in Transformers and science fiction / fantasy...
The filmmakers behind new British comedy film "Pulp" are offering you the chance to get involved in this great new series of online videos at Auto Assembly 2011 all weekend. "Pulp" is the story of struggling comic book writer Tony Leary, who becomes embroiled in a dastardly plot by nefarious geordie criminals and an alien bear. Aided by his geek dream team; Rick and Keith, Tony must embark upon a journey which takes him to the very edge of reality... And Birmingham.
As part of the publicity drive for the film; the filmmakers are holding a series of interviews with Sci-Fi and film fans. Like Descartes, Plato, Hume, Mulder from ‘The X Files’ and Dr Mark Sloan from "Diagnosis Murder" – Pulp is constantly searching for answers to the most fundamental mysteries of the Universe. Questions such as "Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman?", "Who is the better captain, Kirk or Picard" and "Is Inception any good?".
Pulp cannot hope to get to the heart of these pressing issues alone, so we have recruit the finest minds on Earth to share their views with us... Some people take it more seriously than others...
If you feel you have the answers to incisive questions such as these, come along to the Alternative Programme Room at Auto Assembly 2011 to share your thoughts on a range of subjects and you too can get involved! The interviews will be broadcast online across over 20,000 websites through AOL's channel. So if you fancy some pulping, come along!

Following that is the Transformers Collectors Club panel, which we're not expecting much from, then the 1986 voice actors panel.
