American electronic music group Major Lazer are set to feature on the soundtrack of the upcoming Transformers movie. Diplo; one of the producers of the group posted the following on Instagram:

“Big meeting about transformers 6 transformers vs major lazer @michaelbay #michealbae at Komodo in miami there u go @davegrutman”

Hasbro and Xiaomi, a large electronic comany in China, have teamed up to create this Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 which transforms to Decepticon Soundwave.

“Xiaomi and Hasbro are collaborating for the first time crowdfunding a kickass robot model named Soundwave in China. Instead of a vehicle transforming into a robot, this time, it’s Mi Pad 2 that gets the Transformers treatment. How cool is that? 

R&D worked really hard to ensure that the color, details and feel are exactly the same as Mi Pad 2. They were challenged at turning such a slim 7mm tablet into a 3D robot, but they managed to do so with a 30-step folding assembly.”

Weibo user Starscream and AC Toys user Toys2016 have provided In-Hand Images and a Pictorial Review of the toy.

Xiomi Soundwave even comes with a transforming minion, Ratbat, and a transforming weapon and a shield which certainly adds a good value for the price tag of $20

FlickeringMyth.com have posted a transcript of the Digital Fronts session held yesterday, in which Transformers: Combiners Wars was covered.

The series is set to consist of 8 episodes and will debut in July.

Taking place 40 years after the great war on Earth, Transformers: Combiner Wars introduces new lore and all-new characters that, combined with the characters fans have known for decades, will bring the Transformers storytelling in a new direction.

The Autobots and Decepticons have disbanded and returned to Cybertron. With the days of Optimus Prime and Megatron over, Cybertron is now ruled by a triumvirate. However, an ancient technology has enabled a new threat, the power for multiple Transformers to combine into one massive, dangerous form: Combiners. Who will stand-up to this threat to ensure that the fragile peace that was 4 million years in the making remains?

He found listings for Titan Guardians Grimlock at Extra.com.br, Pontofrio.com.br and Cdiscount.com.br along  with Titan Guardians Strongarm at Extra.com.br, Pontofrio.com.br, Cdiscount.com.br and Amazon Canada.  The well known German fan also found new images of Stealthsaurus Rex Grimlock at brandora.de.

Not to be out down Hasbro have updated their official Transformers site for Poland with new images for Mini-Cons Scorch Strike Jetstorm, Ransack, Glacius who are all part of the fourth wave of Robots in Disguise Mini-Cons.

Meanwhile thanks @TFYuki on Twitter, we have a fresh look at the Transformers Adventure release of Megatronus. Out now in Japan, Megatronus is sporting a premium deco compared to his US release counterpart. This is particularly evident with the extra paint used on the weapon and the vents on the knees and cannons. Hisashi Yuki on Twitter has also posted another image of the upcoming Unite Warriors version of Galvatronus.

 In other product news Big Bad Toy Storehave posted a new case breakdown for thhe Combiner Wars Deluxe Wave 6 / 2016 Wave 2 cases which show a change in the assortment so that both Hound and Trailbreaker are dropped from the case with Wheeljack and Smokescreen reduced to one per case. The remaining six slots in the case are taken up by the Combaticons – one each of Vortex and Blast Off, and two of Brawl and Swindle. This makes the full case break down as follows:

We have found some new trademarks filed with the USPTO by Hasbro Inc. The trademarks are:

UK Toy Industry Magazine ToyNews recently held a poll where by they asked manufacturers, retailers and inventors within the toys and games industry to name those toys and games which they fle had most shaped the industry, and the results are now in with Transformers appearing at number 14 on the list!

It seems if you blink you miss it and we were blinking. Yes ITV announced that the current Transformers cartoon Transformers: Robots In Disguise would air daily at 7:45am on CITV within the UK starting on the 4th Jan. Episode 16 of season 1 airs tomorrow (Season 1 being 26 episodes in length).

Collider have posted a video containing an interview with Transformers 5 director Michael Bay which primarily focuses on his latest film, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi  but does go on to mention not only Transformers 5 but the future of the Transformers Cinematic Universe. 

No real information is given away though as you would expect

Out 16 year history continues with day 13 featuring 2011.  The world was shocked by a magnitude 9 earthquake that devestated parts of Japan.  The Transformers universe saw an increasing threat from the growth in popularity of 3rd Party products, though continued to grow with the release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.  Our website gained a boost from the film due to the name of the site.
