Anime News Network are reporting that Konami (who owned a 20% of all Takara shares) have sold all 20 million of its shares to cellular phone systems developer and wireless content provider Index Corporation. They go on to report that...Although not a majority share, the 20% makes Index Corporation the largest shareholder. Konami purchased the Takara shares in 2000. At the time Takara wasn't performing very well financially and Konami helped turn the comany around. However since then Takara has once again fallen into unprofitability as the company has not had a major hit since Beyblade.
