Trandfandom report that Reuters broke this story, which announcement that Hasbro has re-acquired the rights to Transformers and several other licenses from Infogrames for $65 million, the company in recent popular Transformers for the Sony Playstation 2.The rights were held exclusively by Infogrames as the result of a license deal entered into with the purchase of Hasbro Interactive and Games.com from Hasbro in December of 2000, the companies said.
Under the new deal, Infogrames is granted exclusive rights to Dungeons and Dragons in all interactive formats for the next 10 years, while Hasbro reacquires digital gaming rights to all of its properties, including such popular franchises as Transformers, My Little Pony, Tonka and Playskool.
