BotCon 2012 Shattered Glass G2 Optimus Prime

Thanks to Planet Iacon here's a first look at what appears to be Botcon 2012 Shattered Glass Generation 2 Optimus Prime. It's not confirmed whether this is the attendee 'freebie' or part of one of the add-on sets sold at the convention itself. This is a redeco of Reveal the Shield Optimus Prime using the same colour scheme as the existing Shattered Glass Optimus Prime from 2008's Botcon boxed set.

Some fans will see this as a nice node to the original set, others as a cop-out and futher indication that Fun Publications are running out of ideas for this years set.

Reveal The Shield G2 Optimus Prime and Wreck-Gar out in the UK

On Thursaday Unitedbot posted the following sighting on our message board.

"RTS G2 Prime and Wreck-Gar from TRU Stockport for �9.97 each."

The figures do not appear to have made their way to all of the Toys R Us stores as yet, another board member, Brawn, posted that "Thanks unitedbot! My TRU has boxes of TF DELUXE WAVE 2, under the shelves and they are indeed RTS wave 2. Skipped on the rest."

Reveal the Shield G2 Optimus Prime

It's been a busy news day for me, I've not posted this many news stories in years.

HK-TF.com member L-U has posted an extensive look at Reveal The Shield Deluxe G2 Optimus Prime.� The figure is an updated version of the Geneation Two Laser Rod Optimus Prime (one of the best ever Transformers toys).� The figure features amazing articulation and a sword, but i'm not so convinced on the head.

Check out the link for a look.� There is also one on ebay for $150, if you can't wait for it.

Transformers Generations G2 Optimus Prime, Legends Trailbreaker and US MP Rodimus Confirmed

Again thanks to 4Chan we can bring word from the latest issue of the Transformers collectors club (we'll not mirror the images this time you'll have to go looking since they are from FP magazine) that the as well as containing the first images of Generations Wreck-gar in both modes, the issue also announced that there will be a Generations G2 Optimus Prime that is based on the popular Lazer-Rod Optimus Prime figure (so expected s RiD Scourge repaint in due course as well as possible e-hobby inspired Ultra Magnus or a recolour based on the unreleased Toxitron) as well as a Generations Legends Trailcutter,� basically G1 Trailbreaker under a new name. The issue also confirmed the rumour that the Masterpiece Rodimus Prime figure will be release within the US as Masterpiece Hot Rod (ie without the trailer), which will be dropped due to cost.� The toy may come with some more accessories, most likely a targetmaster partner, though it was not confirmed within the magazine
