�TRANSFORMERS DAYTONA 500 CAST � Grand Marshal Announcement

The stars of "TRANSFORMERS: Dark of the Moon"� Josh Duhamel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and director Michael Bay � will serve as the Grand Marshals for 53rd running of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, airing at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.  As Grand Marshals, the TRANSFORMERS cast will deliver the four most famous words in motorsports � "Gentlemen, start your engines."

In addition, the modified NASCAR stock cars of drivers Jimmie Johnson, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. -- featured as characters in the film -- will make their first public appearance by leading the 43-car field during the pace laps of "The Great American Race," the kick-off event to the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

The Daytona 500 will not be Bay or TRANSFORMERS� first introduction to the NASCAR world.  In 2009, Bay piloted the official pace car at a NASCAR Sprint Cup race to promote the DVD release of "TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen."  NASCAR drivers Jeff Gordon and Ryan Newman also took part, racing with branded images of opposing AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS on their cars and uniforms.  Bay credits his vision to include NASCAR stock cars in the new TRANSFORMERS film to this experience.

MTV have posted an article entitled 'Transformers 3' Script Complete, Josh Duhamel Says in which they post some quotes from the Transformers actor when the spoke to him at ShoWest in Las Vegas yesterday.Here is a quote:

"I read it yesterday," he said of the script. "I think that after reading it, I was really pleasantly surprised and happy. They did a great job."

While Duhamel was understandably tight-lipped about plot details, he did reveal that the script includes new robots and story elements from foundational "Transformers" story lines. "Some really cool stuff happens," he said. "They put a lot of time and thought into this. What I think is really cool is they went back into the history of 'Transformers.' They didn't really make anything up. They're using stuff that actually existed in the story from before."

HollyScool.com report that "Injured SHIA LaBOEUF's robot-fighting TRANSFORMERS pal JOSH DUHAMEL insists the young actor is recovering well from hand surgery.
LaBeouf was hospitalised last month (Jul08) after a Hollywood car crash left him with a smashed hand. The accident stalled filming on the Transformers sequel, but co-star Duhamel, who is in constant contact with LaBeouf, insists his pal will be OK. The actor tells HollyScoop.com, "He is at his best. Shia is doing just fine. He's doing great."

Chris Hewitt of Empire Magazine have published a small article on the Empireonline website regarding a quote that Transformers star Josh Duhamel gave them when they bumped into him on the set of When In Rome last week. The quote he gave them was in relation to their question regarding what was the difference for his character, Lennox, in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, compared to the original Transformers Movie.  Josh's reply was"“I guess who he’s working with is probably the biggest change,” said Duhamel, before adding once more, presumably for emphasis. “Who he’s working with.”".  Empire are reading into this that the Autobobts and Decepticons will be teaming up to face a more powerful enemy, in their minds that is The Fallen, though when you read the Transformers 2 Game summary, it could also be a powered up Starscream, perhaps using a fragment of the Allspark in an "Underbase" style powerup.  Of course, this is all speculation at this stage, but time will tell.
