Following on from the previous news story from NYCC which contained the preview trailer for season 3 of Transformers Prime which will contain the subtitle "Beast Hunters", we can bring you some preview images of the first Predacon toy, Predaking, thanks to TFW2005.

The images of the figure, which can be viewed after the jump, have been mirrored from TFW2005 as that website is currently serving malware and is unsafe for visitors until the admnistrators remove the infected files.  If you visit the website you will receive a warning in your browser regarding the malicious trojan software which has probably been uploaded as a result of a vunerability within the v-Bulletin platform which runs the website.  Once the site becomes available again you will be able to find the original images here, but until that time simply click on the heading of this news article in order to view the mirrored imges.

Predaking is the leader of the Predacon, a third group of Cybertronians who, according to the hints within the preview video as well as the background stand, are the "Decepticons ultimate weapon".  The toy of Predking is a homage to both the original Generation One Predacons, in terms of colour scheme, as well as Transformers Galaxy Force Flame Convoy (Transformers Cybertron Scourge).

The figure is only shown within his dragon form, though if you look closely you will see the shape of the head quite clearly.  We have enlarged one of the images to help highlight this which you can view below.

At New York Comic-Con  it was revealed that the new Beast Hunters series will be a sub-line for the third season of Transformers Prime and will feature the introduction of a new "faction" Decepticons called the Predacons who will be lead by Predaking, a large black and orange dragon.

The first figure from the series, Predaking was shown off at the event (see the next news story for details) as was the preview for the show which has since been uploaded to the official Transformers channel over on YouTube.

Paramount Pictures granted a license to developers who plan to create a theme park in north Kent here in England which, at £2bn, is aimed to rival Disneyland Paris.  The Paramount Pictures themed park could include a copy of Transformers: The Ride, if it goes ahead - Read more on the BBC.

Wave 3 of the Transformers Generations Fall of Cybertron toys have now been confirmed.  The product cases will be packed as follows.

1) Ultra Magnus x 2
2) Sideswipe x 2
3) Starscream x 2
4) Fireflight x 1
5) Insecticon x 1

TFC Toys have posted some more grey prototype images of the upcoming Uranos Blackbird ?Silverbolt) figure.

Geek Cast Radio and posted an ionterview with Steven Melching, writer of several episodes of Transformers Prime and Beast Machines, the key points that came out of this area

Other points he raised include:

• We've not seen the last of SynthEn (introduced, and last seen, in the season 1 episode Stronger, Faster)
• Steven Melching wrote the season 2 finale, Darkest Hour, and will be writing five episodes of season 3. Marsha Griffin (Prime series story editor, writer of Legacy, Predatory and Transformers Animated Endgame Part 2 amongst others) will also be writing five episodes for season 3.
• Season 2 "will not end well" for the Autobots. Apparently the big question going into season 3 will be how they get out of the situation they find themselves in.
• Season 3 will have a complete new setting, and no status quo.
• Steven Melching would be okay with season 3 being the end of the series, because going into the series they knew how they wanted the series to end, and apparently that is how season 3 will end.

News has come in the the "Yellow G2 Devastator" Transformers Encore toy is acually a recoloured, remolded, G1 Devastator (New Head Sculpt) with some more purrple and black colours, with a different shade of green.

News and details of the new Transformers Masterpiece toys have now been released.

Black Convoy does not come with his trailer or Roller. He is priced at 12,800 yen in Japan and scheduled for March.

The Cassettes are priced at 4,200 yen for each two-pack with Rumble (Red) and Ravage due in March and Frenzy (blue) and Buzzsaw expected in April.

A magazine scan, from an unknown catelogue contains official images of the Transformers Encore Fortress Maximus along with Masterpiece Frenzy, Masterpiece Buzzsaw, Masterpiece Rumble, Masterpiece Ravage and Masterpiece Black Convoy.

The Black Convoy is set to be a Decepticon this way around, and uses the MP-10 mold.

A listing for Transformers Encore: #23 Fortress Maximus popped up on http://www.kapowtoys.co.uk/transform...ue-p-6089.html And Planet Iacon Facebook page gave us a release date of February 2013.

Expect at least a Grand Max recolour, and possibly a Brave Max.

Teh toy will not be sold in regular retails in the West due to safety laws (the toy is deemed as too heavy)

Amazon have published some new stock images of the upcoming Transformers: Label "Cap-Bots". This cool looking robots transform into baseball caps and go well with fans of the other "Transformers label" lines.
