Transformers Merchandise is reporting that Activision /High Moon Studios will be releasing the downladable content for Transformers War For Cybertron on the 27th July.  The DLC will cost $10 on the PS3 and 800 points on the XBox.  The DLC will be many of the previously "pre-order exclusive" skins as well as some new maps.  Here is a quote from the article.

"As detailed in the original leak (by the Xbox Live Marketplace) of the DLC release here, the New Map and Character Pack DLC includes new characters Scattershot and Onslaught, as well as Shockwave, Jazz, and Demolishor, who were originally exclusive to pre-order customers at particular retail locations. The DLC also contains two new multiplayer maps, and also doubles the number of maps for the Horde-like Escalation mode to four".

Hi all

Just so everyone knows who may be after the Autobot Jazz unlock on Transformers War For Cybertron on XBox 360 and PS3 - initial stocks of the game that have arrived at Gamestation stores include the unlock - however stock appears to be limited so you might want to call your local store or pop in to try and secure your copy!

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) -- Jakks Pacific's costume unit, called Disguise, signed a three-year agreement with Hasbro to make Halloween costumes and accessories based on Hasbro brands such as Transformers and G.I. Joe.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Disguise has created costumes for Hasbro in the past. Under the current agreement, the costume maker will make costumes related to the Transformers 3 movie, due out in 2011, as well as Hasbro board games such as Candy Land and Scrabble.

Shares of Jakks Pacific rose 4 cents to $13.77 at midday Thursday.

Shares of Hasbro rose $1.44, or 3.8 percent, to $39.85. They have has traded between $22.79 and $42.59 during the past year.

Activision have started a competition to find the UKs biggest Transformers fan to celebrate the upcoming release of Transformers War For Cybertron within the UK.

The Search for the Biggest Transformers Fan Rolls Out Across the UK

Do you know your Megatron from your Optimus Prime? Your Bumblebee from your Cybertron? If so, to celebrate the launch of the new video game Transformers: War for Cybertron, we are on the look out to find the UK’s most enthusiastic Transformers aficionado.

For the nationwide search, which begins on the 25th May, a select panel of judges will be looking for the ultimate fan. So if you have every Transformer toy ever made, your home has more in common with a wreckage on Cybertron than a semi-detached house or if you simply love dressing up as your favourite character, let us know as the winner of the ultimate fan competition will win a life-sized drawing of themselves as a Transformer, specially designed by Transformer artist extraordinaire Jon Davis Hunt, a fantastic prize for any Transformer fan.

The Transformers War For Cybertron Comic that was report back on the 22nd May as available as a pre-order bonus in Australia for those ordering the game via JB Hi-Fi now appears to have become an exclusive for two chains within the United States.  Both Sears and Kmart have updated their pre-order pages saying that pre-order with them will also receive a comic. No word on a UK store that has signed up for this deal yet though Argos have released KMart exclusives in the past.
