TakaraTomy have updated their website with pages dedicated to their October 2010 releases. The new pages are for Alternity Thundercracker, Masterpiece Movie Starscream, EZ Collection Vol.5, and the Family Mart prizes. You can view images of the pages below.
Another Gold Transformers Animated Optimus Prime has been listed on eBay. This is the 2nd auction in as many days from TheCrowGirl and has a Buy It Now price of $448 more than yesterdays auction which sold for $398. This is the 14th figure that we know of.
The toys were suppose to have been limited to 1000 yet they are packed in cases of 12. This means 84 cases would make 1008 toy. Therefore there will certainly not be 1000 of these toys, and its perfectly plausible that 100 cases may have been made making the toy limited to 1200 pieces.
The original campaign was run by TakaraTomy in association with Sega and Mountain Rose with 1000 names being draw at random to receive the figures with the campaign running between the 18th August and 30th September 2010.
KOToys.com have gotten their hands on some of the TakaraTomy Transformers Animated Lucky Draw Gold Deluxe Optimus Prime figures and have posted a mini gallery over on their message board. The toy is 100% legit and will be given out to 1000 winners at the end of this month, though a 12 of the toys (they are packed 12 to a case) have found their way to KOtoys. Oh and yes, you read that right 12 to a case, so that means that there will certainly not be 1000 of the items since its not a multiple of 12.

In a follow-up to the news we broke yesterday regarding the release of volume 1 of Transformers Animated on DVD in Japan, Paramount have now updated their website with more information including news that they will be holding a campaign to give away 1000 gold chrome Optimus Prime dexlue figures. Yes that's right a DVD Lucky Draw prize much like Black Fire Convoy. A gold deluxe Optimus Prime figure, as well as a gold Voyager were two of our predicted three lucky draw toys that TV Magazine will announce at the end of the year. This could still be the case as DVD figures have been re-used in subsequent campaigns in the past, though it does make the inclusion of the deluxe figure in a magazine competition less likely.
To qualify for the prize draw you need to send in 1 x barcode from a Transformers Animated Toy box (or 4 barcodes from EZ collection toys vol.3 and 4), 5x Sega cards and the token from Transformers Animated DVD.
Genzaho of KOToys.com has publicly announced the release of the first KOLD figure (Knock-Off Lucky Draw for those wondering what the name means). The figure is a gold chromed knock-off Henkei Convoy and is 100% non-official (I.E no parts of this toy are made by TakaraTomy or Hasbro Inc). The figure is, for now, being sold exclusively through KOToys.com with an original run of 250 items. If you look quickly you may be fooled into thinking that this is an actual TV Magazine Gold Henkei Convoy or one of the fakes that was around last year, neither is the case. Here are some of the things to look out for on this figure to know that it is a fake and not an original, official item.
One thing to be careful of though is that this figure was chromed whilst on the spruce and not afterwards. This means that it will have the "snap" marks on the gold chrome which have, in the past, be used to try to help identify some of the fakes. From speaking to Genzhao we known that between 25 and 50 of these have be sold to one or two people in China so we urge everyone that if you are offered a gold Henkei Convoy to look very carefully at the figure, ask to see the copyright markings. Compare any images to images of this toy and the ones features in our fake Gold Henkei Convoy gallery. If the toy you are offered looks like either of these then there is a good chance that it is a fake or knock-off item so ensure that you know before you part with your cash. KOToys is selling these for $59.99 so if you do wish to get one you can buy them direct from them.
We will create a gallery soon mirroring the images of this figure to help people compare as well as showing images of a sample of the KOLD figure that has no Autobot symbols and different coloured plastic.
Again, this toy is 100% non-official. If you see a figure looking like one of these for sale as a real item you are being conned.
The limited edition M&M Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime staute has appeared on ebay. According to auction the statue was limited to 40 pieces, however HK-TF.com reported earlier that 600 pieces were made. You can view the auction here
Australian fans may be pleased to know that the country is getting its first Lucky Draw. Following on from Japan, Hong Kong and the UK Australia joints the elite list of countries that have given away a limited edition version of a Transformer. For Australia it will be 25 of the gold Transformers Movie leader class Optimus Primesthat were made back in 2008 with some given away at the Hong Kong Animation and Comic show. We own one, being Lucky Draw Collectors, which you can view here.
Australian Retailer Myer will be giving away the figure which according to the Myer Catalogue, entrants must provide a 25 word answer to the question "what you would like to transform into and why?" by Sunday the 26th of July 2009 in order to win the Lucky Draw Optimus Prime, one of only 88 ever made.

Heerostoymaker (aka TinTinHappy and various other names) has placed an auction on ebay for his latest clear/chrome figure. This time its a clear Transformers Henkei Convoy but with some chrome gold parts. The figure is not a lucky draw figure nor will it ever been officially released. This origianl toy was made in the TakaraTomy factories and was then later chromed over. It is not an official Transformers item and can be put into the same category as our recently posted all gold chrome Big Convoy and Silver chrome Big Convoy with blue parts.
If you are intested in bidding on the auction or would like to see the images, you can find them here.
