The e-HOBBY + TFCC Collaboration Shattered Glass Soundwave VS Blaster set is up for pre-order from the Transformers Collectors Club now.

e-HOBBY has also posted a packaging sample image of the toys.

On a related note, the Transformers Collectors Club has clarified a few things via their Twitter account regarding the release of this set: The EHobby is not build to order BUT we can order as many as we want. Confused? To clarify, our order has to be in BEFORE the Pre-order period is up on our end. So we could technically run out as we are not going to go heavy on these. We will do a guesstimate based on the first couple weeks of sales. We won't go overboard and cut it way short as we know many will wait till that last week. But we dont want to be way heavy either. So when you are able to, please get your order in.

Transformers Comic News

With just 2 days left to sign up for the TFCC subscription service, Tformers shot some questions toward the club and Pete Sinclair took the time to fire back some answers. You can also see a new shot of Ultra Mammoth chillin with Optimus Primal. Here are the main points from the interview which can be read here.

  • The Transformers subscription service came about due to the great reception from the G.I. Joe subscription service using the same frame work with a few tweaks.
  • With 6 figures planned for the first year the idea was to touch on different mythos and to do a little gap filling.
  • The subscription service replaces the members exclusives but convention exclusives remain unchanged.
  • In the fiction there will be some interaction between at least five of the six characters even though they are from different timelines.

If you want a sneak peak of the comic action, check out the 2 page comic preview.

The main thing to take from this is that the Transformers Collectors Cliub Free Figure will no longer exist.

Transformers Comic News

Several months ago we were informed (unofficially) that Part One Ltd, the company behind e-Hobby were going to start working with Fun Publication (The Transformers Collectors Club / Botcon) on some collaborative products for the US.  Well now the official announcement has been made over on the e-Hobby news website we can le you know what we heard.  At the time the talk was regarding possible exclusives for Botcon 2013.  Whether this was helping them with toy design, packaging, prints could not be said, but I suspect it may be officially licensing the e-Hobby exclusives to the group and collaborating with Japanese sales.

We'd expect more news on this announcement over the coming months so stay tuned to the e-Hobby blog for more information

Hasbro have, unsuprisingly, posted their support for Fun Publications after the recent credit card issues.  The official statement reads as follows

To the G.I. Joe and Transformers fan communities and Fun Publications customers,

Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention and for giving Hasbro the opportunity to respond to a matter that impacts its G.I. Joe and Transformers brands. Please know we take all consumer concerns very seriously and are in regular contact with Fun Publications (our licensee) about the possibility of a breach in security to their online purchasing system for the G.I. Joe and Transformers Collectors' Clubs. Fun Publications is also taking this matter very seriously and is diligently working at identifying any problems, the number of customers affected and ways to ensure it does not happen to any more customers. Hasbro wants consumers to have a positive experience at all touch points for its brands, including transactions with its licensees. As such, we are confident that Fun Publications has detailed instructions and pertinent information available for those consumers who believe they may have been targeted by credit theft via their portals.

Based on our extensive conversations with the Fun Publications team Hasbro wants to convey the following to the fan communities:

Fun Publications has assured us that they are taking necessary measures to curb additional issues, and they are working with third party experts to identify the problem. They anticipate knowing and communicating the cause of the breach as soon as possible to those affected.

-- They believe that the number of customers affected is low relative to the volume of sales transactions made.

-- However, if you believe fraudulent charges have been made to your credit card after making a purchase with any portals for the G.I. Joe or Transformers Collectors' Clubs, we urge you to contact Fun Publications immediately and provide them with the information requested at https://www.transformersclub.com/tccccinfo.cfm or GIJOECLUB.COM - The Official G.I. Joe Collectors' Club! by using the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of these pages.

-- Fun Publications can also be reached at the following number for additional consumer affairs inquiries relating to the G.I. Joe and Transformers Collectors' Clubs at (817) 448-9863 during regular business hours.

-- As more information becomes available, they will be contacting all affected customers who have notified them about the issue.

Thank you again to all of the fans of our Transformers and G.I. Joe brands for their continued support and for the opportunity to respond to this matter.

Sincerely,

Joe Moscone
on behalf of Hasbro, Inc.

It is a shame Fun Pubs ignored an email from us a few years back when we pointed out flaws in their security systems which we found whilst buying items.

Transformers Collectors Club Pre-Orders are now online!

2012 Over-Run (AKA Runabout) TCC exclusive (1 pc)

Member Price - $54

Non-Member Price - $94

OVER-RUN® tries to pass himself off as a suave connoisseur of fine things. It’s not a façade he can really maintain for long, less because of his generally low intelligence and more because his interest in beautiful objects starts and ends with “blow them up!” His drive to seem sophisticated is in direct conflict with his enthusiastic love of explosions and action. The former is almost always on the losing side of that battle. He’s not interested in the DECEPTICONS’® plans for conquest; he’s just with them because of the greater opportunities for his kind of fun. He’s always on the move, looking to create a bigger fireball, a larger bomb crater, and generally cram every microsecond with action!

Over-Run is a Deluxe sized figure featured in the Wings Universe and is Runamuck’s demolition partner. Over-Run utilizes one of the extremely popular “Classics” molds and features an all-new head sculpt by Dan Khanna and Paul Brooks. The toy is packed in a convention style box with a foam insert for easy removal and display.

Non-membership price ($40 domestic) includes 6 bi-monthly full color magazines and 2012 Free membership incentive figure (ships Spring 2012).

2012 Shattered Glass Drift TCC exclusive (1 pc)

Member Price - $49

Non-Member Price - $89

Even amongst the villainous hordes of the Evil AUTOBOTS ®, DRIFT is considered the most brutal. Laws and morality have no stay with him, only money and profit. And occasionally thrills. He’d blast his own batch initiators if he were paid for the job. Or if he thought it might be fun. Typically given free rein by the AUTOBOT ® leader, OPTIMUS PRIME ®, to complete his objectives, DRIFT’S methods of taking out his targets are only limited by his imagination. In other words, they are almost boundless. The mercenary relishes dreaming of new ways of taking out his marks, and logging them when he reboots in the morning. Regardless of the elaborate traps he might set, he always ensures that he is there at the final move, with his finger on the trigger or his hand on the blade. ??

Drift is a Deluxe sized figure featured in the Shattered Glass Universe. This “Bot of Banter” utilizes one of the extremely popular “Classics” molds and comes with a selection of weapons. The toy is packed in a convention style box with a foam insert for easy removal and display

The Transformers Collectors Club have revealed today that they have renamed Runabout as Over-run due to legal reasons.  Here is a copy of their tweets on the subject.

"Runabout" reveal TODAY but before that want 2 give every1 a heads up. On the package he will NOT b called Runabout. Name was NOT available.

From a product standpoint we had to go with the name "Over-Run"... We could have searched out other names CLOSER to Runabout BUT that would have delayed us getting this guy to you all SOONER rather than later. Just all the way the schedule worked out.

Anyways, Over-Run AKA Runabout will be up later today at The Official Transformers Collectors' Club
