TFSource have posted news of a Holiday season 2012 exclusive from FansProject. At TFcon 2012 we got a look at a Deluxe Insecticon themed set of recolors for their Insecticons - we can now confirm that this will be an exclusive limited edition set similar to the previous extremely popular Shadow Scyther set, and like the Shadow Scyther these too will be carried by TFSource. The Deluxe Insecticon recolors will be collectively known as the "Armored Battalion" and will be sold as a set of three with exclusive giftset packaging for $159.99. This is going to be a single-run only item - but good news, there is a limit of 2 per customer at TFSource meaning that this set can find its way to the maximum number of fans.

TakaraTomy have announced that their next figure in the Masterpiece line will be Masterpiece Movie Starscream! But wait, before you get too excited, the toy is actually just the Japanese release of Leader Class Revenge of the Fallen Starscream in Masterpiece packaging. According to a thread over on TFW2005 several members are reporting that their credit card details appear to have been stolen from online transactions what they believe is connected to the company who take online payments from TFSource and other online merchants. In one instance a member found over $700 of orders from iTunes had been charged to their account. As such we urge any and all of our visitors who to check their bank accounts / credit cards for any unrecognised transactions over the last month. Though the TFSource staff believe their site has not been exploited directly, there are various other techniques including a man-in-the-middle attack which could still have been used to exploited visitor to that and other sites. In any case due to the serious nature of the reports we have decided that it is best to warn everyone of the potential problem and advise you to check your accounts ASAP.
