Transformers Revenge of the Fallen UK FDA Screening

Paramount Pictures UK are holding their Film Distribution Association screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen today in Leicester Square in London. The film kicks off at 18:30 and is an invitational only event.

Transformers At The Moon was in attendence for the event to watch the early screening of the film, but don't worry although we will tell you what we thought of the film we won't be posting any spoilers.

Fandango report Transformers Movie tickets selling well

In a recent report by online movie ticket source Fandango, it appears that pre sales for the upcoming release of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen have been selling in a big way.

With less than two weeks to go before its June 24 release date, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is already seeing brisk ticket sales on Fandango, the nation's leading moviegoer destination. Currently, the film represents 21% of ticket sales on Fandango (as of June 11 at 9 am PT).

According to an ongoing Fandango survey of moviegoers planning to see Transformers 2:

* 81% of respondents say Megan Fox is the one star they're most excited to see in the new movie.
* 76% say they are fans of director Michael Bay.
* 72% say the IMAX presentation of Transformers 2 will be an important part of their moviegoing experience.
* 71% of respondents are 18-34 years old; 68% are male.

"Fans are already scooping up tickets for Transformers 2's opening week showtimes, especially for the IMAX screens," says Ted Hong, Chief Marketing Officer for Fandango. "The movie is garnering some great Internet buzz, and filmgoers are clearly ready for another action-packed summer popcorn movie. With Transformers 2, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Ice Age 3, Public Enemies, Bruno, G.I. Joe and other highly-anticipated movies opening within a few weeks of each other, it looks like a banner year for the movies."

IMAX Transformers Revenge of the Fallen to feature

Director Michael Bay has revealed on his official website that the IMAX screenings of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen will have a slightly longer extended cut then the regular theatrical version. According to Bay the IMAX version will have slightly extended robot fight sequences that were also shot with the full 70mm IMAX camera.

Ireland Transformers Revenge of the Fallen release date bought forward

Good news for our Irish readers as Paramount have bought forward the official release date� for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for the Replublic of Ireland to June 19th making it the same as the United Kingdom.� Confirmation has also been published on the Irish Transformers Movie website.

UK Release date bought forward

The release date for Transformers Revenge of the Fallenfor the UK release date has been moved forward to Friday 19th of June 2009.

No reason has given for the move so far, although it has also been noted that special Preview Showings of the film are to happen earlier in the month with the official London Premier on June 15th.
