The Feb 2010 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine has now been released within Japan and thoguh there was not as much coverage as Figure King, you can find a summary below.

1. Transformers Animated's Japanese release is announced with both Optimus Prime and Bumblebee being shown.
2. The Human Alliance figures that will be released within Feb are shown.
3. The actual release of the Transformers edition Camaro is published, as per Figure King.
4. The TRU Japan NEST campaign and Wonderfest figures are mentioned.
   

The latest issue of Figure King, issue 143, was recently released within Japan.  The issued contained pictures of Transformers Revenge Human Alliance Barricade who will be released within Japan in Feb 2010.  On the 23rd January, Toysa R Us stores in Japan will be holding a special "NEST enlistment campaign".  This campaign will see the first 4,000 pepole that spend 2000 yen or more on Transformers Revenge of the Fallen items received a specially-made NEST badge.

The magazine announced that a short NEST movie will be released on the TakaraToym Generation One website in January.

A sihouette of The Fallen was shown as part of the advertisement for the upcoming Winter Wonderfest.

The Transformers Camaro will be released within Japan next year costing 4.42 million yen for the LT spec and 5.47 million yen for the SS spec.  Sales for the car begin on the 6th Feb, and you get a free Human Alliance Bumblebee with Sam for your troubles.

The 12th and final article covering the 25th years of Transformers was published, which featured developments since the 2007 movie.

There is a two page feature of the Japanese release of Transformers Animated in 2010 including a note that the story and characters will be changed to try to make them tie-in to the live action Transformers films which should be interesting to see how that works out.

Finally it seems that the next issue of Figure King, on sale at the end of Jan, will have a large feature on Transformers in 2010, so should be the first look at what Takara are plannig for next year.

eBay seller bluecarolla has posted an auction on ebay for some ­upcoming Mighty Muggs­. The Mighty Muggs they are selling are Transformers Movie Optimus Prime, Transformers Movie Bumblebee, G1 Jazz and G1 Shockwave.­

TheArker has posted images of two new upcoming Transformers released.  The first is of Transformers Animated Activators Armor Up Optimus Prime­. This redeco­ of Activator Optimus Prime uses a colour scheme based from the Japanese Star Convoy figure can be see here.  He's new bio says "In preparation for a massed attack on the Decepticons, Optimus Prime orders his autobots to upgrade their armor. Working with Autobot Ratchet, he mounts improved armor plating on his frame, giving him the toughness he needs to withstand even the most powerful fusion blast."

Next up is a Transformers Revenge of the Fallen two-pack form the N.E.S.T. Global Alliance wave.  The set is Battlefield Bumblebee vs. Infiltration Soundwave­. You can view the images here.­

Cybergundamblog have posted some photos from the 2009 East Japan toy trade fair, at which TakaraTomy showed off their upcoming Donald Duck Disney Label, Transformers Alternity Bumblebee and Cliffjumper and Transformers: Revenge Human-Alliance toys.

Chevrolet announces the 2010 Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition

"When the first TRANSFORMERS movie was setting box office records, we had countless customers asking to purchase the 'BUMBLEBEE' Camaro," said Karen Rafferty, product marketing director, Chevrolet. "Now, they can buy one with the new Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition. Streets all over North America will be buzzing in no time."

Features such as an EPA-rated 29 highway mpg on the V6-powered Camaro, Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB connectivity, XM Satellite Radio and OnStar combined with TRANSFORMERS design cues add to the car’s status as a 21st century sports car.

“Hasbro is thrilled to team up with Chevrolet and excited to see the Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition come to market for our fans to enjoy,” said Samantha Lomow, Global Brand Leader for TRANSFORMERS at Hasbro. “The yellow Camaro with the black stripes has become so iconic and closely associated with the BUMBLEBEE character that this edition was a natural fit for both companies.”

While the aggressive styling of the Camaro is unmistakable, true TRANSFORMERS fans will notice some of the unique, but subtle features of the Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition.

The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro TRANSFORMERS Special Edition includes the following:

* AUTOBOT® shield on the driver and passenger side panels
* AUTOBOT® shield on each of the four wheel's center cap
* AUTOBOT® shield embroidered on interior center console
* "TRANSFORMERS" logo on driver and passenger doors' sill plates
* "TRANSFORMERS" logo embedded into the hood rally stripes
* High-gloss black center rally stripe package
* Manufacturer’s suggested retail price of package: $995

Dealers are now taking orders for this car. Customers can order the TRANSFORMERS Special Edition as either a Rally Yellow LT or SS model. The optional RS appearance package can also be added.

The V6-powered Camaro uses a 3.6L engine with variable valve timing to optimize performance and fuel economy. It is SAE-certified at 304 horsepower (227 kW) and 273 lb.-ft. of torque (370 Nm). A six-speed manual transmission is standard with the 3.6L engine; a Hydra-Matic 6L50 electronically controlled six-speed automatic, with TAPshift control, is available.

The high-performance Camaro SS is equipped with a powerful 6.2L V-8, with a choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. Manual transmission-equipped models receive the LS3 engine, SAE-certified at 426 horsepower (318 kW) and 420 lb.-ft. of torque (569 Nm). It is paired with a TR6060 six-speed transmission.

A new, L99 V-8 engine is used on automatic transmission-equipped SS models. It is based on the LS3, but also includes GM’s fuel-saving Active Fuel Management feature. It is SAE-certified at 400 horsepower (298 kW) and 410 lb.-ft. of torque (556 Nm). It is matched with a Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed transmission that helps delivers an EPA-estimated 25 mpg on the highway.

Thanks to Hob for letting us know that he found Transformers Revenge of the Fallen preview figures Bumblebee and Soundwave in his local Toys R Us this morning. Bristol Cribbs

Forbidden Planet are already selling both of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen preview figures (Bumblebee and Soundwave) in some of their stores despite the official release date being the 15th May.  Reported sightings include Newcastle and Croydon.  The figures are priced up as £14.99.
