They seem to have had a major re-stock of Sideswipe/Silverstreak/Acidstorm/Galvatron/Ironhide. The store I went to (West Bridgford in Notts) had a few in their usual spot amongst the toys marked down to £6, as well as an 'end cap' display with 10-15 of each figure.

The 'end cap' ones were marked as full price still, but they do ring through as £6.

Happy hunting!

Odds!

Thanks to Sven for sending in the following report of Buy One Get One Free at Sainsburys

Hi all,

Did the weekly shop today and ended up having to go to Tesco and Sainsburys. There are some great offers running around:

Tesco

Animated Rollout Optimus Prime half price at £24.98

Animated Leader Bulkhead at £19.98

Animated DVD double pack at £10.00

However the offer that caught my attention the most considering how often Universe items are missed out of store offers:

Sainsburys

Universe Classic Deluxes £12.99, buy one get one free. (Shame my local only had Acid Storm and Sideswipe in stock)

Also of note that the Tesco Extra (Cradley Heath) had the Universe Voyager versions of Dropshot, and Leo Prime plus "Exclusive" Animated "Deluxe bundles" featuring a yellow Ratchet with two activators at £20.

You've probably seen the term AFA graded when looking into buying Transformers online, or even just browsing through the various Transformers forums and websites on the internet.† Some of you may not know what AFA actually stands for (Action Figure Authority) and others may already own some AFA graded Transformers (or other toys).† A few of you may be collectors of these highly priced, usually vintage, and extremely well kept toys.

Well if you're an AFA novice or an avid AFA figure collector then you may be interested to knwo that AFATransformers.com has now officially be launched.

AFA Transformers is a website completely dedicate to these highly collectable items.† Created with the slogan "Condition Counts", AFA Transformers comprises of a huge database of official AFA information obtained directly from the Action Figure Authoriry, and presented to you directly - with no need to create an account or sign up.

So what can you find on AFA Transformers?†

  1. Well for one you can find a complete listing of AFA Graded Transformers (1250 to date) which the authority has on record.
  2. AFA Graded information - you can easily search for a toy and retreive all the information on the figure - from it's highest graded version, to how many of those toys have been graded
  3. Price Guide - probably one of the most important areas, and ambishious projects of the site.† This price guide is linked into eBay for AFA related Transformers auctions.† As soon as an auction ends it's final price is update to the site, ensuring you have the most up-to-date and accurate information to hand.
  4. Handy auction links - links direct to ebay to give you a quick-link to the hottest AFA Transformers items for sale.

The site's look is designed with speed in mind.† It doesn't look pretty but enables you to easily access the information you are after as quickly as possible.† The graphical layout of the site will be improved over time, but we feel the key to our websites are in the contents not the design.

AFA Transformers was quiet a project for us, and seemed to be a natural progression after Lucky Draw Transformers.† The information on the site is† focused in a way that collectors of these prized pieces finally have somewhere to go to easily keep track of the trends of sales, and find information on items.† If you're thinking about getting items AFA Graded then it's a great place to go to find if the items have been graded before.† The site also contains information on the Action Figure Authourity although is no way connected to them.

The disucssion area for AFA Transformers is currently not open, but we'll be looking to finalise that later this month.† Bookmark the site now.

PrintRoomDan has send us the following information regarding a sale on at Tesco's where Leader Class Transformers Animated figures are 1/2 price.

I was in a Tesco the other day in Ashford, Kent and I saw a Leader Class Bulkhead for £19.99..... Thats £20 cheaper than almost everywhere else!

And this thing is huge as well, easily 16 inches high!

And I'm sure that the Leader Class Prime was same price! Damn if I wasn't still cleaned out from Christmas I would grab a couple of them.

TFW2005 members have spotted the 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime for sale in Utah Texas in Walmart.† The 25th Anniversarry of Transformers is in 2009 (1984-2009), so it is quiet funny that the figure is released early.

Toys R Us UK have started getting in the new Star Wars Transformers Crososvers figures, reports Break. The first assortment consists of General Grevious, Tie Bomber pilot, Anakin and a Clone Pilot. He appoligises that he can not remember the names of the spaceships they become but does point out that the Grevious and Tie Bomber are new molds whereas the Anakin one looks like a remold. The Clone pilot looks the same to me as a figure from a while back (the transport type ship at the end of ep.2 but with a mounts painted on).

Thanks once again to Break for the report.

There have been tons of auctions for Transformers Animated figures on online auction sites over the last month and a bit, both carded and loose. The auctions have bought us new images of the toys, from various different angles. Now TFWorld2005 member PlanetJacker has shared some images of one of the Transformers Animated Starscream toys which he won.
