It's a sad day for European Transformers fans as Toys R Us are emailing any and all UK customers who ask about the availability of the Masterpiece Prowl figure, that the toy will no longer be made available in Europe by Hasbro Inc. As a consolation they offer to give people a free gift if they purchase an item via the online website. The exact cause is not known, it could be that stock which was going to be kepy for Europe will now be used in North America, as has been the case in the past, that the toy failed European safety tests, or that the market was simply not deemed strong enought to warrant the figures release.
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your interest in 'Transformers Masterpiece Prowl'. We have been informed by Hasbro that unfortunately this item is no longer going to be released in Europe.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by this availability change.
However, as a goodwill gesture if you purchase a Transformers item on toysrus.co.uk by 31st July 2014, we will send you a FREE* limited edition die-cast Transformers figure which isn't available to buy in UK shops!
To accept this offer, you need to place an order on our website for any Transformers toy using the same email address we have sent this message to. A free die-cast figure will then posted to your delivery address separately by the end of August, subject to the terms below.
Kind Regards
Toys R Us Direct

TFW2005 Board member jru42287 has learned of some interesting new entries in the Toys R Us computer system within the US and has taken some photos for TFW2005.
"The first of these entries, with a retail value listed of $129.99, is a "Transformers MV4 Optimus Trailer Platinum Edition" which by the sounds of it is a Platinum Edition version of Age of Extinction Optimus Prime complete with trailer. An image is shown with the listing, showing a more detailed truck mode than we have seen so far with a Generation 1 inspired trailer, although the image might be a placeholder.
Second is another Platinum Series set, titled "Breakout Scene". This set curiously has a Generations Skids pictured with it in spite of being explicitly labelled as "TRA MV4", or Transformers Movie 4. The Skids is colored to look like the Sonic rally car, though may be a placeholder since he's a non-movie toy. The set is listed as $59.99 which implies there may be more to it than just this one Deluxe - although we may never know, since it is in "D" status, suggesting the set has been discontinued. This may mean it is not happening, or just that it is not yet fully confirmed.
Lastly there are two more sets of listings, one set for Transformers Age of Extinction Leaders and one set for Transformers Generations Leader class toys. Both sets of listings feature three toys listed - which in both cases covers the two known Leaders (Grimlock and Optimus Prime for Age of Extinction, Megatron and Jetfire for Generations). There's no information on who the third Leader for either line is, though, but rumors are that the third Age of Extinction Leader may be a reworked Dark of the Moon Leader Bumblebee."

Following on from out recent news regarding a UK release for Generations Metroplex I asked Toys R Us UK directly on Facebook as to whether they could give details on the RRP of the figure. Whilst they could not, they (or rather James from their customer support team) did reply stating that they expect him to be released in September with further details on the release date and pricing set to be available on their website nearer the time.
You can see their reply below

Our thanks once again go out to Pete Brown for sending us a further update on the Toys R Us Transfomers situation. In case you have not been keeping up with the recent turn of events, on the 3rd May we reported that TRU UK have had Transformers Generations Voyager Class figures listed within their computer system since Feb though the toys had not hit the shelves. We followed that up on Saturday 4th May with the next piece of news via Pete which confirmed that Generations Metroplex will be released within the UK as a Toys R Us exclusive later in the year. Well as promised Pete has sent us further word on the current situation.
Having spoken once again to the manager at his local Toys R Us Pete was informed that the Toys R Us UK Head Office has actually been in touch with Hasbro UK to find out what has happened to these TRU exclusive figures. The word is that there has been a hold up at Hasbro UKs end which is why the figures have not shipped to UK retail but no specific explanation has been given. The good news is that the Voyager Class figures are now due to hit the TRUs in mid-July with the rest of the deluxes and Metroplex being released shortly after. No specific street date is available for those figures so shortly after could, potentially, be anything from 1 to 4 months.
Stay with us as we will bring you the very latest updates as we get them on this story

Our thanks go to Pete Brown for letting us know that he spoke with the manager of Toys R Us Poole here within the UK earlier today, enquiring about the Transformers Fall of Cybertron Generations Voyager Class figures and to his surprise, the manager checked the computer and found that there were Voyager class figures from the Generations line being released within the UK as Toys R Us exclusives!! The second piece of information that he was given, was that the figures have a shelf date of February 2013, as in 3 months ago! Pete was told that the manager believes the figures have "just been held up" but Toys R Us do not know whether they are the FoC figures (which is most likely the case) or whether they are the Asian exclusives.
Pete has promised to update us if he hears more, so we will keep you all updated on this story.
