A little late but our thanks go to Mr Neurie for dropping us an email last Thursday to let us know that that the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Back Road Brawl set has now been released at Toys R Us here within the UK.
Back on the 10th November we exclusively broke word that Hasbro had filed a trademark for POWER CORE COMBINERS. This news was slowly picked up by a few other websites but has since been forgotten by most. Well today was a key day as a post was made on 4Chan showing a packaging mock-up of Power Core Combiner Huffer with his Targetmaster companion Caliburst. Which you can view below.
According to an article on Nikkei.co.jp,TakaraTomy have announced that they will be moving some of their production from China to Vietnam starting with capsule toys and tomica mini-cars.
"Due to the increase of labour expenses and CNY exchange rate, TakaraTomy
will be moving their production line from commissioned plants in China
to Vietnam to cut production costs. This will include capsule toys
and Tomica mini-cars. Production value in Vietnam will increase from 15
billion yen by March of 2010 to 30 billion yen in 2011.
Production of toys in Vietnam 30% of total for capsule toys and 60% of total for Tomica cars next year, 100% for both."
No doubt as soon as any contracts with Chinese factories for other lines, including Transformers, will also be shifted away to save costs. This will have a knock on affect that the Chinese leaked toys will stop for a small period until people find Vietnamese workers willing to offer the same services.

With the Transformers War For Cybertron trailer out it has shed new light on a grey hardcopy of an unknown figure that popped up a few months back. The figure was a truck that many assumed would be a War Within figure from the Universe line. However when compared with the images from the trailer it is obvious that the toy is actually a figure of Transformers - War for Cybertron. What does this mean? Does it mean that the next cartoon could also be from the same line? Does it ean that toys from the new game will come out as Universe figures? Only time will tell for now.

Our thanks go out to Mr Neurie for sending us through news and images that Tesco have dropped the price of Transformers figures. Deluxes now cost just £6.47, Voyagers £14.97, Leaders class figures stand at £29.97 with the Bumblebee voice changer mask priced at £25.97. As Mr Neurie points out, it now means that scouts now cost more than deluxes in Tesco!
Kapow Toys have received stock images from Hasbro of some more Transformers Revenge of the Fallen figures that will be released next year.
