After almost 12 months of delay the reason why the Device Label Broadcast (Blaster) has finally been revealed.  According to GetNews.jp the Toshiba licensed Transformers Device Label figure had to be redesigned after a design flaw was found that when you transformed the toy from the USB hub mode into his robot form, that the data cable became damaged around the groin area of the toy.  This means that continued Transformations would result in the device failing.  So he had to go back into development to fix the problem.

In related news, at the Japanese Toy Award 2010 show, the Device Label line came third in the awards under the Toy Character division.

We are proud to be able to bring you a full image gallery of our latest Transformers figure, the incredibly long titled Toy Hobby Market exclusive Welcome to Transformers 2010 Masterpiece Convoy Sleep Mode (phew, what a mouthful).

This toy is the first offering in the Welcome to Transformers 2010 commemorative line that will also include a new Unicron figure and Masterpiece Rodimus.  The figure were limited to a maximum of 2 per postal address and were only available to Japanese residents.  We managed to order four (don't ask) and will have two for sale at Auto Assembly 2010 for ­£250 each. They will go on sale at somepoint over the weekend on a first come, first served basis. We also have some Unicron's on order that will be coming directly from Toy Hobby Market later in the year, so stay with us for more on those.

Back to Convoy Sleep Mode, one of the first things you will notice is that the toy comes in a rather special packing box that contains not only the Welcome to Transformers 2010 logo on the outside but a special message when you first open the box up. You'll have to take a look at the images to find out what it says, but we suggest that anyone picking up the figure should try to get and keep these boxes as they may well become collectible in the future. The toy itself contains a profile card which tells you which piece number (the figure is limited to 2010 pieces) you own, which is a nice addition.­

For those who thought that the toy was just grey you were mistaken.  He is actually a very dark red/brown on the chest with a very dark blue head and legs. The gallery contains comparison with the e-Hobby exclusive Convoy Black version, the original Japanese Masterpiece Convoy, MP Ultra Magnus and the Western release 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime figure.

The latest Masterpiece figure Sleep Mode Convoy has now been released in Japan.  As you may recall we will hopefully be selling a couple of these at Auto Assembly 2010 next month here within the UK (if they arrive in time)

Botcon.com have announced, via Twitter, that the figure for this years custom class will be Generation 2 Sideswipe.  You can view an image of the figure here.

TFW2005.com member DrillBit has posted some images of more upcoming Japanese exclusive figures.  The first is an image of the Tokyo Toy Show exclusives which are a repaint of the Transformers Revenge of the Fallen NEST Mindwipe and Skystalker figures into Generation Two Dreadwind and Smokescreen along with a Transformers Animated exclusive white repaint of Prowl who is called Elite Guard Prowl.  Prowl will cost 2,500 yen and Dreadwing / Smokescreen will be 5,500yen. The figures will be available at the TakaraTomy booth on the 17th and 18th July as well as having a limited number available on e-Hobby.  Like other exclusives of a similar vein, the figures will be limited to a few thousand.

Next is an image of another "Welcome to Transformers 2010" figure that will be sold as a Toy Hobby Market exclusive.  The figure is Primus and is a recolour of the Transformers Cybertron / Galaxy Force Primus figure.  No word yet on whether the figure will be limited to 2010 pieces like Sleep Mode Convoy (wh­o was also limited to 2 pieces per person) or whether he will be produced in higher quantities with an unlimited amount like the Unicron figure (both of these figures will be available in limited quantities from Transformers At The Moon so we may also offer the Primus figure as well).  Primus is out in October and costs 9,450yen.

YouTube user nando323 has posted a video on You Tube titled Transformers 3 Movie filming on 43th Street and Main in which you can make out the vehicle representations of Bumblebee along side the Ferrari 458 Italia and the Convertible Corvette Stingray.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Sideswipe originally used the Corvette mode, so it is highly likely this will simply be an upgraded form for that character.  Sideswipe had a short role and one line in the second live action Transformers Movie.

The chara­cter represented by the Ferrari is still unknown.

For ­those wondering, Mattle now has the rights to the original Corvette Stingray car (for toy representations), so the change in model with keep the agreement between GM and Hasbro.

KO Toys has updated it's site with images of Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Insecticon.

The figure has an interesting insect mode and four arms whilst in robot mode.

KO Toys has supplied Seibrtron.com with images of the Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Seaspray and Breacher combined in vehicle mode.

Don't get too excited though, as the smaller figure (Breacher) just fits in the back of Seaspray

­eBay seller collector.inc has put up an eBay listing for a Gold Leader Class Movie Optimus Prime. HongKong based fan catz has dropped by TFW2005.com reporting a rumour that he heard form a Hong Kong supplier that the Seacons will be released by Hasbro in July and that there is a Target Exclusive three pack on the way of Hot Rod, Galvatron and Cyclonus.
