Auto Assembly have issued the following press release
TF Source Joins Auto Assembly 2012 As Official Sponsor

As Auto Assembly 2012 draws closer, we are now starting to work more closely with partners to bring you the best convention ever this year. As part of this we are proud to announce that - for the second year running - Transformers dealer TF Source is sponsoring the convention.

TF Source has very generously sponsored us with the costs of producing the passes and lanyards this year for the convention which is always a significant cost for us here at the convention. Being a non-profit making event, this support allows us to do much more with the registration fees we receive from our attendees and with our increasing running costs every year this support is vital for us to continue the work that we do.

More details about TF Source - including a list of the full range of Transformers that they stock and information on how to order from anywhere in the world - can be found on their website at www.tfsource.com

Transformers Convention News

Two more LA-based guests announced for Roll Out / Roll Call 2012!

We're 16 weeks away from Europe's largest combined G.I-Joe / Action Force and Transformers show Roll Out / Roll Call 2012 and it is with great pleasure that Transformers At The Moon can exclusively reveal the names of two more guests for the show.

The pair are long time fans of both Transformers and G.I-Joe / Action Force and will be making only their second appearance at a European Convention.  They are well known within the fan communities of both franchises as well as generally being two of the nicest and most interesting people you could meet.  Have you guest who they are yet?

That's right, the guests are none other than Jim Sorenson andd Bill Forster, writers of the both the Allspark Almanac books, the Ark Books (all three of them) and most recently Allspark Almanac Addendum (published within issue 6 of the Timelines comic that re-printed The Stunti-con Job).  Jim and Bill will be on hand all weekend to meet, great, sign, and generally hang out with fans of both shows as well as taking to the stage over the weekend to give a presentation and take question on both Transformers and G.I-Joe.

Jim and Bill were extremely popular guests when we bought them over for Auto Assembly 2010 and we have been keen on bringing them back to the UK for another show.  At the same time they are both as keen, if not more so, to come back to the UK and meet up with everyone again and so brings us all great pleasure to have them back on these shores for a show that covers not just Transformers but also G.I-Joe, a series that both these men care about.

So if you were unsure whether to attend Roll Out Roll Call 2012 in Southampton next March, then I hope that this announcement will convince you to attend the event and support it.

Roll Out / Roll Call 2012 is the UK Fan Show Convention dedicated to Transformers, Action Force & GI Joe which will be taking place over the weekend of the 10th-11th March 2012 at Southampton's largest hotel, Jurys Inn overlooking East Park.  It will be the third show for the event and is organised primarily by Dave Tree of All The Cool Stuff.  Everyone helping out organise and promote the event is very proud to welcome some very special guests from the world of Transformers, Action Force & GI-Joe including Larry Hama (1st UK show), Simon Furman, Andrew Wildman, Robert Atkins (1st UK show), Jon Goode (1st UK show), Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster.  There are still at least three special guests to be announced, so stay tuned to the websites at the bottom of this announcement for all the latest news.

There will also be special presentations and panels on the toys, comics and cartoons from special guest presenters, plus in addition there will be show exclusives and trading affiliates, who will be attending the show with a host of the latest, and in some cases, unique range of merchandise.

Tickets will be on limited availability, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. Tickets will go on sale soon.

I have uploaded the photographs that we took whilst at Auto Assembly 2011 here in the UK.  The convention took place last week end in Birmingham and was another outstanding success.

We'd once again like to thank everyone who attended the event from the guests, the dealers, the volunteers, the committee, the hotel staff and, of course, Simon and Trish for all their work throughout the year

Auto Assembly sent out the following press release yesterday

Transformers Actors Rally behind Auto Assembly 2011!

With less than a week to go before the Transformers event of the year, it’s decision time - are you going to join us in giving a thunderous farewell to the Holiday Inn, in it’s final year as AA central?
We’ve done all we can to persuade you – we’ve told you about our room full of Transformers dealers, our guest panels, exclusive giveaways, our unveiling of new and never before seen video game information from Jagex... we’ve even told you that Hasbro will be in attendance this year to add a final shine to what is certainly going to be the biggest and most phenomenal event we have ever hosted.
But still, with just four days until pre-registration closes, some of you are undecided... so how about, rather than taking our word you listen to what some of our friends have got to say about us... and my, do we have friends in high places!
And not to be outdone, with the appliance of science we are able to bring you this special presentation put together for you all by Mr Paul Eiding himself - the voice of Generation 1 Perceptor.
Also... who remembers these special messages from last year? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1GWR4hXiv0
Friends, your heroes have spoken! Come to Auto Assembly 2011! And let’s break that European attendance record one more time! If you can't make it this year, don't forget you can book NOW for Auto Assembly 2012 and beat the rush!
Auto Assembly 2011 is taking place over the weekend of 12th - 14th August 2011 at the Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre, Birmingham, England and tickets are available from the website now. Auto Assembly have issued the following press release regarding the Andrew Wildman guest announcement

Auto Assembly 2011 Goes WILD!

The Transformers community is now fully entrenched into its annual convention season and now that everyone has had time to recover from Botcon, it's time for us here at Auto Assembly to shift gears as we head into the final stretch for this year's convention...
We have already announced our first nine guests but we are now proud to announce that legendary Marvel UK, Dreamwave and IDW artist Andrew Wildman will be joining us for his seventh Auto Assembly appearance. Andrew will be around all weekend meeting fans and signing autographs and will take to the stage on Saturday alongside all of our other comic guests as part of a stunning comic panel.
Andrew has a superb pedigree in the Transformers world, having worked on the original Transformers series for Marvel UK, the Generation 2 series for Marvel US, Dreamwave, Panini, Titan, and IDW. As well as this, he has worked on countless other titles and in the video game industry as well as his own forthcoming project, Horizon which can be found at http://www.indiegogo.com/horizon
Andrew is joining our extensive guest line-up which already includes David Kaye, Gregg Berger, Simon Furman, Nick Roche, Simon Williams, Liam Shalloo, Kris Carter, Jason Cardy and Kat Nicholson. But that's not all... in the next few days we will be announcing our THIRD guest of honour and we have two more guests to announce after that, but who are they?
We're now about to enter our "rush" period for ticket sales for the convention, where most of our ticket sales take place so if you haven't already registered for Auto Assembly 2011 then NOW is the time to do it!! Tickets are available from our website and are £50 for adults and £38 for children, students and senior citizens, with under 5s admitted free. Transformers Convention News

Transformations 2011 has been cancelled, announces organiser Paul Cannon on the official website.  Transformations 2011 was going to be a London based Transformers Convention taking place in April 2011, the first since Paul's previous Transformers convention Transforce stopped running a few years ago.  According to the website, the event was cancelled simply due to a lack of registrations.

This means that the UK is back to being a single dedicated Transformers Convention with Auto Assembly.  There are other events that take place during the year which include Transformers, but there is no other dedicated event.

For those of us who were fortunate enough to attend Transforces in the past, I can tell you that, with the exception of the last TransForce, each event saw the convention grow with an atmosphere similar to the last two Auto Assembly's.
