Fub Publications have sent out the following email notifications to all Botcon attendees as well as Club Members
To all BotCon attendees who are holding current reservations: There was a glitch in the hotel's reservation system as it was supposed to be taking one night's deposit when your made your reservation.
Per our contract with the hotel, they need to take this deposit by charging everyone's credit card for the first night's room and tax.
In order not to impact anyone's Christmas shopping, I have asked them to hold off making the charge until January 3, 2012.
In addition, this deposit will be refundable until April 9, 2012. If you cancel after April 9, 2012 your deposit will NOT be refunded.
If you are holding any rooms "in case someone needs them" we ask you to either turn the reservation over to another party, or to release them by January 2, 2012, as we still have other attendees who need to make room reservations. Again, all rooms being held will have a one night's deposit charged on January 3, 2012.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Auto Assembly's Twelve Days Of Christmas campaign is already well underway with several announcements and videos under our belts but we have barely scratched the surface with what is to come for the rest of December...

Today is the first day of Auto Assembly's Twelve Days Of Christmas campaign
that we will be running between now and the 24th of December where we will be
making loads of announcements about next year's convention and bringing you
plenty of great new videos for our Youtube Channel, and to celebrate the release
of the first of these announcements later today, we're proud to be able to bring
you a special pre-Christmas sale on tickets for Auto Assembly 2012...
That's right, for the first time ever, we're joining in with the festive
spirit started by our friends at Savcon with their Black Friday sale, and
offering our full weekend Adult tickets for Auto Assembly 2012 at the specially
reduced price of £35 - a massive saving of £10 off the normal price but this is

If you've never been to Auto Assembly before, this may well be the perfect

Yep, hardly has my passport been stowed from the last (and final)
convention appearance of 2011 (at Auto Assembly Europe earlier this
month), than the 2012 convention calendar starts to fill up! Already,
three personal appearances are confirmed, with more to come!

all things Transformers and G.I. Joe in Southampton (UK), with guests

The Auto Assembly team have issued the following press release:
Auto Assembly's 12 Days Of Christmas!
It's that time of year again when all the shopkeepers are rubbing their
hands with glee... sorry, we mean everyone is celebrating and getting ready for
the festive season. We're all joining in with the Christmas spirit here at Auto
Assembly as we bring you The 12 Days Of Christmas...!
Throughout December, we'll be bringing you a series of announcements
connected to Auto Assembly. We're not going to reveal what they are right now
but some will be new exclusive videos on our Youtube Channel, others will
feature guest announcements, and there will even be some stuff from Auto
Assembly Europe as well.
Don't forget that you can book your tickets for Auto Assembly 2012 which is
taking place over the weekend of 3rd - 5th August 2012 and will be held at the
Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel which is located near Birmingham International
Airport, Birmingham, England. As always, the convention will have our usual mix
of dealers, guests, workshops, videos, displays, competitions and much more. Our
first two confirmed voice actors are Michael Bell and Townsend Coleman who are
joining our already growing list of guests and it's already shaping up to be a
great convention!

issue, three issue and six issue subscriptions available starting from just
£1.25 for a single copy with proceeds going to the convention.

The geek-fan event known as "Squirtle-con 2011" took place yesterday in the Cambridge area of England. The one-day fan event featured your usual convention activities such as toy trading, a video games area, episode screening, social discussions and lots of food and drink. The event also saw two exclusives per attendee that went down a storm with everyone in attendance.
When trading slowed down at the event most of the attendees could be found popping to a local Tesco's store to pick up more items. My brother himself picked up most of the Thundercats 2011 figures in a mad collecting spread.
Final attendee figures are still be collated, but the event was universally deemed a huge success with representatives from the UKs two biggest fan sites Transformers At The Moon and Full Metal Hero both strongly supporting the event.
Pictures from the event till no doubt be doing the rounds on Facebook (other social media sites are also available). You can read about the hauls of some of the attendees on our message board.
