In an interview with Sci-Fi Wire, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman spoke briefly on how they wanted the Transformers sequel to raise the emotional stakes. Here are some quotes from the article, which can be read in full by click on the link.
"I think the serious answer to your question is, obviously, people will
say, 'Look, the explosions are going to be bigger,' but I think Bob and
I felt that it was our job--and continues to be our job--to say, 'It's
not really about that, because those things, in a way, are a given,'"
Kurtzman said.
Orci added: "Yeah, those things are the easy part."
Kurtzman: "What it's about is making sure the emotional stakes
feel like they are at a new place and that this movie has a reason to
tell itself beyond just 'The studio wants another Transformers
Orci: "And now that the Transformers are characters, how do you bring them to life some more?"
movie.' And a lot of that has to do with 'How do you make this movie
more emotional? How does this movie stand out from the first one?'"
Transformers 2 is about a month away from the end of principal photography, the writers said. It's slated to open on June 26, 2009

TFW2005 have posted a summary of the latest comments from Roberto Orci regarding the sequal to the Transformers movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Roberto Orci has answered more of your questions about the upcoming
sequel to the Transformers Live Action Movie, Transformers Revenge of
the Fallen. In the last couple of days, Mr Orci has confirmed that
principle photography for Transformers 2 will wrap "another five weeks
or so".
Also, without confirming what Soundwave will turn into (or the Ice
Cream truck robot), Roberto Orci stated that Soundwave will not be an
ice cream truck, nor will he be an iPod or a combiner made of many
iPods.
Asked about Jazz, the answer was a solid "NO" to appearances in either
flashbacks or a full return. Where does this leave the recent image
leaks? Watch this space for more information!
Asked about Devastator, Roberto's response was, "IF such a thing were to happen, it would be done very realistically".
Roberto Orci also again stated that this movie will deal more specifically with the mythology of the Transformers.
And last, but not least, a question that has been asked by many fans:
Will a potentially resurrected Megatron be adopting the name Galvatron?
The response to this question is:
"We talked about it a lot."

We have updated our image gallery of the December 2007 TV Magazine exclusive Lucky Draw Gold Protoform Starscream, who was limited to 5 pieces, with an additional twelve images of the figure that we now own. We have decided, for now, not to take the toy out of the packaging due to the limited number that were produced, however you can now enjoy some high-resolution images at the worlds only dedicate Lucky Draw website, LuckyDrawTransformers.com.
This is the latest in a line of updates to Lucky Draw Transformers which included:
YouTube phillyfilmgirl, responsible for some of the recent videos from the set of the second live action Transformers Movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, has posted what she reports is some of the plot information over on TFW2005.
Scroll down to read the spoilers:
"heres the whole story of why he read the book so fast IN the video i posted
-he gets some sort of a box, he touches it, it zaps him
-all of a sudden in class (which is a large lecture hall) he goes crazy
saying whats wrong in the book and drawing symbols all over his notes
and on the board
-i myself have held and seen the astronomy book, its pretty big
-he calls mikaela freaked out, thats where the video comes in
-from there, he tells her on the phone in another location, 'dont touch the box' so i guess thats what did it to him
-then he draws a lot of symbols and i guess it leads him to the final battle and drawing symbols
he also meets another girl, alice who turns out to be evil and is
trying to get all up on him at a party, bumblebee crashes the party and
here is the conversation sam has with a frat brother
"hey freshmen!" frat bro
"yea?" sam
"is that ur car parked there?"
"what car?"
"the yellow one on the bushes"
"oh my friend just went to get u a tighter shirt"
"there is no tighter shirt i checked and you dont have any friends...say how about if i park my foot up ur ass!"
"what size shoe are you?"
"10"
sam then stumbles on some bushes outside the party, gets in the car with alice (that girl i mentioned) bumblebee doesnt like her (hence that video with the spinning stop we saw), she gets out with goo on her because of bumblebee then later alice is seen in a courtyard all meniacle looking after some sort of explosion and the trio are running from her. oh yea, he gets a new roomate at college and his name is leo - leo
knows or figures out about transformers and they basically kill that
new saturn...i think it gets split in two and placed up high on a ledge
in a warehouse/factory place, and theres explosions thats some of what i know happens, hope that helps, this is all the truth. the parents are in france...something bad happens there they all
observe a tv in a open air market and people are crying (an old woman
is even wearing a biret), a building collapses, and people are fleeing
from it and then we see a transformer in france hunting down the
parents or protecting them, i dont know. shia gets strangled by megatron too...we will see megatron's hand strangle him"

Inside Line report that the GM Chevy Volt which has been seen no the set of Transformers Revenge fo the Fallen was only filmed for a day or two and that it's not going to be a Transformer. The Volts inclusion in the movie will be purely as an advertising vehicle for the car that will be released around the same time. The article also talks about how the vehicle on the set is an early prototype and that the final version of the car will be different.
The revelation about the Volt not being a Transformer appeares to have been missed by most fan sites when reporting on this.

This, we believe, is the worlds first full image gallery of the latest Lucky Draw Transformers figure to be released. The gallery contains 61 images of the figure, including comparisons to the two Lucky Draw Gold Transformers Movie Voyager Optimus Prime figures that we own (who's gallery was also recently updated with new images of the figure in the box as well as information on the variant that we own).
The terminology, Lucky Draw, refers to a competition prize draw, where
winners are selected by random. Lucky Draw Toys are the prizes given
away, usually these are very limited. Lucky Draw Campaigns are run in Japan usually by magazines. The main
magazine which runs Lucky Draw competitions is Telebi Magazine (TV
Magazine). Bom-Bom Magazines and Comic Bom-Bom also run Lucky Draw
campaigns. In later years TV Boy also run prize draw campaigns as did
DVD production companies and some stores. Hasbro UK also gave away
hardcopy Transformers Animated toys in a competition, where winners
were choosen at random. Meanwhile Hasbro Hong Kong gave away 10 gold Movie
Optimus Prime statues to people who spent over a certain amount of
money at a convention. Although this meant the figure isn't a Lucky
Draw toy, most fans count it as one due to it's appearance.
LuckyDrawTransformers.comis the internets only dedicate Lucky Draw resource site. The website was initially launched in April 2006 and was relaunched with a new look and message board in August 2008. It remains the best place to view and find out more about the various Transformers Lucky Draw items that have been released, as well as now containing image scans from various Japanese hobby magazines. All of this information is available on the sites parent-site, Transformers At The Moon, however due t the shear size of "The Moon", the information is not as easy to access.
We hope you enjoy this first full look at the latest Lucky Draw figure to be released, and do not forget to check back with us over the coming week, as we have more Lucky Draw figures to share with you.
