Transformers CartoonsYou may remember that back on the 6th August we broke news that Player X had signed an exclusive deal to bring the Transformers cartoon series to mobile phones. The whole Generation One series was licensed, from the American series through the Japanese Headmasters, Masterforce and Victory series. Well, now we can bring you further news that this service is now live and ready to download in the UK via Orange, O2 and T-Mobile and can also be viewed live on 3 with geekTV. The clips range from 40 seconds to six minutes in length. If that wasn't enough Player X will soon be launching the content internationally via its partners in New Zealand, Australia and China.

Stay with us as we bring you more on Transformers Mobile content over the coming months

Transformers CartoonsGood news for those of you who watch video on your mobiles here within the UK, Australia, New Zealand and China, as Player X have partner up with TV-Loonland to publish original Transformers mobile video content. Under the deal Player X has exclusive mobile video rights to Transformers: The Movie (that's the 1986 animated movie), the original animated series and the Japanese Transformers Takara series. Below you will find a full press release

"

August 6th 2007

Mobile media company Player X has partnered with brand management company TV-Loonland to publish original Transformers mobile video content in select territories including the UK, Australia, New Zealand and China.

Under the terms of the deal, Player X has acquired exclusive mobile video rights to release the newly digitised Transformers: The Movie together with the original animated series and the Japanese Transformers Takara series.

Player X will be able to publish hundreds of video clips based on all three formats to sell on a video-on-demand basis. The latest Transformers movie is currently No 1 at the US Box Office and has already grossed $453 million in global sales.

“We are always on the look-out to partner with big brands and Transformers’’ recent success underlines the strength of the brand. We’re looking forward to bringing a new generation of Transformers fans to mobile,” said Tony Pearce, Player X CEO.

The news follows Player X’s pioneering moves in the mobile video space. The company recently launched its made-for-mobile channel Zapper TV on Verizon Wireless’s VCast channel, the first European company to have been placed on this channel.

Zapper TV is the second mobile video channel to be launched by Player X and follows the critical and commercial success of the company’s original made-for-mobile channel, geekTV™. The company has also been nominated as Best Video Producer at this year’s upcoming Mobile Entertainment Awards."

Transformers CartoonsA few Transformers websites had reported this over the weekend, but we'd forgotten to put up the information. If you're not already seen this, here's a breakdown of what is in the Japanese Transformers Song Universe CD pack.

Cover has Convoy (Optimus Prime in Transformers G1), Convoy (Optimus Primal in Beast Wars, called both Convoy and Beast Convoy at differing times in Japan), Rodimus Convoy (Transformers 2010, Rodimus Prime in Transformers G1), Star Saber (Transformers Victory), Convoy (Micron Legend, Optimus Prime in Transformers Armada), and Convoy (Transformers Kiss Players, Optimus Prime in Transformers Alternators)

The song has nearly every Japanese Opening, Ending, and Insert song (Beast Wars Returns used the Beast Machines theme, so it appears to be left out). Not sure if anything else is missing but it appears to be quite awesome. Transformers songs that were done by Kageyama Hironobu (DBZ fans, you know him) and Wada Kouji (all of us Digimon fans know him). English translated tracklist courtesy of Fenrir and DigistarDBZ (who got it done quite quickly after I asked them to)
