Transformers Robotmasters was a pretty short lived series in Japan, featuring only a few toys and even less cartoon and comic episodes, yet it made quite a big impact when first released.  The toys featured mainly new molds, with a few recoloured toys fom Transfomers Generation Two and Transformers Beast Wars, and was the Japanese take on the Transformers Universe theme, where characters from different Transformers lines were bought together.

The line featured some of the best Transformers toy molds and some of the most popular characters, and also showed how the original Transformers Generation One toy molds could be updated with more articulation, but could still be extremley close to the originals.

To help celebrate this short lived Japanese exclusive line, we have uploaded 21 new Transformers Robot Masters toy galleriesas well as updated 3 existing galleries with new images.

Website Updates

You'll be forgiven if you didn't realiase, or if you forgot, but yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of Transformers At The Moon!

That's right, this site has been online for 10 years - that's longer then most of the "mainstream Transformers sites" and longer than many of the visitors to this site, and our other sites, have been interested in Transformers!!  Shocking.

On 25th October 1999 we uploaded the first rendition of Transformers At The Moon, hosted by our then ISP Freeola.  The sites name mirrored that of the email address we chose that Freeola hosted (an @themoon.co.uk)  domain which read as "Transformers At The Moon".  The domain / name was chosen as a tip of the hat to the Ladybird Transformers Tell-A-Tale Books, which features such names as "Decepticons At The Poll" and "Decepticons Underground".  We felt that an "at the moon" gave it a little bit of a spacey feel.

Anyway that was then, this is now.  We've been busy over the last 10 years, spent lots of money on the website and toys (one day we'll break even on the cost of the site, which has only seen sponsorships and advertisements over the last few years) and even more time.  Although the time spent updating the site this year has been far less then we had hoped (due to other commitments - namley work) we still have lots of plans, many of which we've had since the very beginning.

Thanks for visiting the site, we hope you continue to do so and if you'd like to contribute anything then please feel free.

Website Updates

We would like to apologise to you our site visitors for the distinct lack of updates that we have made to the website over the last 18 months.  This has primarily been down to an increase in both of our professional lives as well as some personal issues.  However we want to re-affirm to everyone that we will be trying our hardest to get back to more regular updates of the website including the toy gallery section.  We have photographed perhaps half of our collection over the last 10 years and we really want to push on and complete the job.  We also hope to re-visit other areas of the website that have gone untouched such as the conventions section, site feeds, Firefox plug-ins, videos, store locator, members area and the miscellaneous merchandise galleries.

We were hoping to purchase some rather special and rare items to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Transformers At The Moon but unfortunately talks have currently stalled on those items.

Website UpdatesThough not Transformers related what-so-ever we thought this ebay auction was too cool not to share with everyone (considering many people reading this website will be fans of Marvel comics).  The auction is for a near perfect copy of Captain American Issue 2 from 1941 and is considered one of the rarest comics to find, especially in the condition that the seller has it.

Here is the information regarding the comic. "The story behind this book is almost as unlikely as the book itself. It began with a late night phone call with the gracious and friendly seller of a small group of 80 original owner comics in Litchfield County, Connecticut. The young man was selling the books for his uncle, who purchased all of them on the newsstand in the same general area. Sitting untouched, unbagged, and unboarded for almost 70 years this freak of nature somehow managed to survive in Newsstand fresh shape for decades!!"

The auction has to be seen to be believed, if nothing else just to see how much it finally sells for.  Currently its selling at over $55,000!

I thought we'd start today with a news story of a different kind.  Our thanks go out to Jason Vernon for kindly sending through a photograph of a cake his girlfriend Jules spent three days working on for a friend's birthday.  The cake is of Transformers Movie Bumblebee and can be seen in the image below.  Click on the thumbnail to view the image full sized.
